One lady when I first started wanted me to write a review. She had my real info (like the fact my wife provided) and my hobby info (review site handles, P411, Date Check). SO I wrote an honest review. In my opinion it was a good review a 8/8 that praised her attitude and skill. But as at no time did I forget I was pain for it, nor could she honestly make a good income modeling I didn't think she deserved better. I had no clue how bloated and useless review scores are at the time. She asked to see it before I posted it so I emailed it to her. She was livid that I gave anything less than a 9. She threatened to out my wife should I post my review.

As I must protect my family the review never was posted and warning not given. I did not just take it though. I found out all her info and that of her real life employer, family, and a few friends. I then explained if she ever outed, contacted, or otherwise had anything with my wife, me, or anything or one I cared about, I would make sure everyone she knew knew she was not only a wore but a blackmailer besides.  And then share all I knew about her with a cop friend. You don't threaten my wife or son. I will definitely respond badly.

After that I don't give my TER info until I get a handle on how exactly BSC a lady is and how legit she is. I only now write warning reviews (or if I having a good day down there, the lady asks me too, and it would be a 9 or better in performance score). I don't want that drama again. If I havery to post a warning I don't want it to come back to me or my family. Now after I will give it to her but then why would she need it.

I use other screening services when I want to play with someone.  Some ask for my handle but I never give it out.  I don't think it's necessary if I've already been screened with other services.

You wouldn't believe how many of these morons (not specifying you) reach out to for a date but when you research their TER, they've got a sketchy past. Crude or nasty reviews. Or they post and respond with some of the most ridiculous things you've ever read. Rude or racist posts or they're just a creepy troll...literally. Sometimes its just better to get the full details on someone. Yeah the moneys green but Peace of Mind is Priceless.

Especially if you are a "tough", spelled H-O-H-N-E-S-T reviewer.

...it's a great way to verify someone, see their whitelisting's, and see what kind of ladies they've been attracted to in the past (age, price-range, etc.)

I want to know if they are especially harsh and critical if possible, but those guys usually will keep their handles a secret and don't have any whitelisitings.

If he is contacting you, he is interested in you.

This is another reason for guys not to give out their handles. Some girls will weed you out for "honest" reviews and for your preferences.

I have both fans and more than my share of detractors here due to my big mouth. If a woman doesn't want to see me based on anything I have said as GaGambler, I doubt we would be a good match anyhow and it's better for her to simply refuse to see me than for both of us to have a bad time.

I find it rather amusing to see some guys suck up to every hooker here, no matter how BSC she is, just to avoid being labeled a misogynist by the members of the OTHFBC.

Now OTOH, if my name was RidgeTucky or AnnoyingFungus, I don't think I would ever admit to what my handle was. lol

It's much better a gal know up front and refuse, then for us to have, as you said, a bad time.

As for your OTOH comment, I can think of several more handles that should never admit to them or they would never get a date.

Is it okay if I suck up to this one?

Ok you have my blessing to do either or both, in which ever order you prefer.

....and will often volunteer it if not asked. I want her to get an idea of who I am in this hobby, and looking at me here is a great start.

... with my reviews and posts, it bodes well for when we meet. If she isn't comfortable (and that hasn't happened yet), it's better we don't get together as we will most likely not be compatible.

It really doesn't matter to me if she knows my handle. If she asks I will gladly tell her. But if she doesn't ask, I won't mention it.

If a provider you want to see asks for your TER handle, assuming you have one, and you don't give it, wouldn't that make her think you have something to hide?  Would you want to see a provider that was trying to hide her TER presence (assuming she has one)?

but I am sure there are a lot more who would. lol

and there are a LOT of women who hide their TER presence and a whole lot more who should. lol

The vast majority of ladies like to post under aliases when they are on the GD board or have something to say that they don't want to mess with their reputation on their local board.

I probably shouldn't post under my name when I am being an ass but I really don't care. I'd rather be me and it seems that the majority of people enjoy my posts.

Gambler, should I hide my presence? Whatever will my alias name be? I am not very creative, so I may need some suggestions. lol.

There isn't a girl out there that I am aware that demands a board handle. They don't even ask. Girls give the guy multiple ways to be verified and I choose the option where I choose not to give out that info.

Not once have they ever said "oh, you forget to give me your TER handle."

They don't to risk offending a potential client for info they know they really don't need anyway.

It's never been much of an issue to me as I refuse to fill out those insipid forms to begin with, but I have seen it required on many such forms.

Like you, I just send my screening info to her email. Never once been a problem for me.

but most of the ladies I've seen here that are active on TER have asked for my handle.  It's part of the "community" here.  And my point in the post was what would be the point of not giving it if asked.

They don't give you alternate screening methods? I have seen close to 200 women, almost all high end. NONE of them have ever asked for a handle after I have given them my pristine verifiable credentials.

As to why not to give it out, I have answered that many times. Look at my other responses.

they all give "alternate screening methods."  In fact, the TER handle is not part of the screening much at all, and is not "required" for screening, but it is asked for pretty regularly, as supplemental info.  Maybe the confusion here is whether the handle is asked for or required.  I have never had a case where it was required, but it has been asked for many times, and freely given without reservation.

As you can see from the responses in this thread, there are many valid reasons as to why that may be without it being like "they must have something to hide."

And as you can also see, no girl here on TER that I know of demands a board handle as it is not necessary. If you feel the need to give out non necessary info, that is your business and I would tell you to do what you think is best for you.

Many others with more experience than you know the potential downside and have opted to handle the situation differently.

Viva la Differance!

I never contended that handles were REQUIRED info for screening, nor have I ever felt that they were "demanded" as part of any provider's screening process.  I have seen handles asked for, often, but certainly not required.  Usually it is asked for in the same space as one's p411 ID, at least in my experiences.  It is certainly up to the one being screened whether they want to provide both, only one or the other, or neither of them....and provide whatever other screening info they choose.  Most times that I have given a provider my handle was so that she would know who I was on the boards after seeing me, not so much for screening.

In my original post in this thread I merely asked what one would have to hide by not revealing their TER identity.  Certainly there are other reasons some may have, other than hiding something.  I've seen in this thread both sides; those that don't give it out, and those that do.  It's fine either way, as long as the ladies get what they need to feel comfortable seeing us.

Happy hobbying, and happy Father's Day to all.

Just as some guys ask me if I have reviews. If I think a guy is more of a hobbyist than a client (yes there is a difference) I will ask and many times I have gotten it

but that's all they are getting. I think it only helps if a lady recognizes my handle from the board, otherwise it's much more conventional screening methods for me.

Never a need to give out your handle. Never. I see who I want and never have to be worried if a gal doesn't get back due to what my handle may tell them.

She needs to know you are verifiable, that's it.

Some want it to read reviews to alter their sessions to "what we like." No need for that either. I don't want the gal to have a preconceived notion as to what I want or prefer in session. I have all different likes, like many types of styles and women.

That info may be beneficial to have in their opinion, but not necessary.

Frankly, it is none of their business whatsoever.

I use alternate methods as you do, have never been turned down and every single girl I have ever seen would see me again. Even the ones I negotitate with, which is most of them.

A girl has every right to turn me down if I don't give a board handle. It's never happened. It never will.

I have no reviews and it never hinders me in business. I could substitute the word  "reviews" where you wrote handle and that would be how I feel. So here is one hooker who understands your process.

I would never give it out. It's possible to open a second handle around here in case you need it. 99% will be happy if you have high end girls as "OKs" on your P411

I swear I've seen $1,000 dollar an hr girls SW where the going rate is $40... Is that high end?

I advertize on several boards, and unless they tell me in their intro email where they are from, I ask where they saw my ad and if they are a member there.  If they are, I ask for their member name so I can check their posting history.  How they conduct themselves on the board goes a long way determining whether I'll see them or not.  If they say they'd rather not tell me their member name, I figure they have something to hide and will decline seeing them.

I've never joined P411 or any other screening service.  And I don't even write reviews.

My references (which are impeccable, naturally) and my handle are all I've got.  If a lady wants to do any homework on me via TER, my board posts seem to be good enough.

I admit I might feel differently about this if I did post reviews--then you have all the stupid problems of being turned down for fear of a bad review, bargaining for a favorable review, blah blah blah....

As it is, I've never been turned down by any lady, so I guess I'm doing the right thing by giving my handle out.
