Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to find your ATF provider?
Using either time (weeks/months/years) or quantity (number of ladies sampled) as a unit of measure.
I don't really believe in it the way reviewers and most board posters describe it. For me, that status is always a happy surprise. Like: "Wow, not only is our chemistry awesome, and her rate reasonable, but I'd prefer to see her than roll the dice on another 9/9 or 9/10 I've never met. Plus: OTC!" That's the thing, with me. There is no ATF w/o OTC. But I never say that or ask for it or do a sneaky lazy stay over. If the chemo is right the OTC will follow. So it's all highly conditional and always a surprise. Nothing to be expected or expressly sought.
Even for those few with whom I gel in this way (perhaps 2/yr), it is never even close to exclusive. It more like....my favorite restaurant. Whenever I can, it's wonderful, and I happily make my reservations, but hell, a man's gotta eat wherever he may be. So that P411/TER search engine is always humming in the background, and I prescreen like the TSA. So the Plan B is in perpetual effect.
That's just me, though. MrFisher and others may have a method that works and great expectations for success. Not me.

I do have favorites, even hookers that have become serious girl friends, but I still don't ever call any of them an ATF.
if you are talking about women that some how become special, more than the usual hooker/john relationship, I have to admit that while its not exactly "love at first sight" I usually know within minutes or hours if there is something "more" to a certain lady.
It took me about 3 months. My last gal had moved out of state. So I had to find another playmate ASAP. I had a list of 5 gals that I was interested in seeing. My current gal was at the top of my list. She was so great that I never did see the other 4. Even today she's still great and I see her on a regular basis once a week.
... and another few months before I realized she was exactly the kind of provider I'd been looking for. But part of that delay was because I was working out of town 100 hours a week for a couple of months so I couldn't get back to see her.

The first one was around about three years before she retired. The second was around about four years until she, unfortunately, passed away. My current favorite has been around four years. It hasn't been to long between favorites, because I research, research, research. Therefor, I find my perfect type & I'm satisfied w/them & I keep going back to what works.

Was with Sexy Toni, a well regarded lady back in 2004 who toured in NYC who has since become legendary. In fact, I saw her tonight...see my posts on the NY board. She is special to me, as are Piper, Chloe Wilde, and a few other other ladies whose friendships have endured, and a few not.

Ok I think I need some clarification. To what extent is an ATF above and beyond a "regular?"
I knew right during our first session that my main regular had something special about her. She isn't a higher-priced provider at all but we clicked right from the start. She knew what I liked and how to do it without even asking me. By our third visit she was practically finishing my sentences.
In the big picture I'm still relatively new with hobbying (a year+) so I don't think she would really qualify as a true ATF

for me, the ATF is the ONE that if you could, you would be with all the time...sex or no sex...she puts something on you Mr Clean can't take off. All these girls leave you with an afterglow-a halo effect if you will-that dissipates after a day or so. Not hers--it lasts and lasts. She's the one that drifts into your mind when you are sitting at the beach chilling and enjoying the day, and you think...you know, I bet X would enjoy this.

ATF = is a provider you have seen more then once because you both had great chemistry and had great sex. When you see one person over and over in this business, ATF turns into All Time Farce!
I don't think you can seek it out or look for it. It just happens. And I think when it does happen, it's pretty apparent from the first moment.
You contact the ladies that spark your interest hoping for the best, and every once in awhile, something happens, and the two of you really click. It's random. It can't be predicted. There's a personality component to it, and there's a sexual component to it. It knows no bounds. It can happen with any race, culture, and age. It always happens when you least expect it. It's a beautiful thing.
...I like variety. There have been a few providers that I have seen more than once, but usually I always like to try someone new.
However....there was a recent playdate that might have me thinking differently
Of course to me ATF= Asian To Fuck.
Why a guy (or gal) would actively search for a hooker to pay to be his "one and only" is beyond me.
Having a favorite/s that you "click" with better than other women is much different IMO. it's these guys who wax nostalgic about their ATF like she were his childhood sweetheart that I can't understand. As long as you are paying her, I am sorry, but it's still a business arrangement.
encounter....I fell in love (lol) immediately. The halo effect of this girl lasted weeks!!! At that time-way back in '07 I think-she was with an agency in Charleston. I wrote her a review for her agency and gave her a tag line for her dates, that she still uses today. Then she disappeared and I just saw random visitors to my area. Then I had to quit for a while-going through a divorce-but once it was over, I found her again. YAY!!!! I now see her as regularly as I can. She lives several hours away and seldom works in the area. When I can, I meet her half-way, or we have an overnight at my home or hers. Don't get me wrong, I've had some really really good experiences with some really hot women, but this one has a spell on me. What can I say?
