but don't underestimate the grief and trouble they can cause us.   Give anybody a badge or a gun, and decency and common sense goes right into the shitter.

I don't see a lot of providers, but I'm very careful.  And always have them come to me.

Let's hope that in a "world of change" our priorities can concentrate on more important issues.

Would LE ever go to the extent of creating a fake profile with fake reviews as part of a sting?

LE sets up all kinds of stings. Some for drugs are very elaborate. Political corruption is another.

Its much easier to set something up on Backpage. Place an ad with a cute young girl that says," I just turned 18 and I'm 420 friendly." Sit back and pile up busted hobbyists like cord wood. It happens over and over again.

Or run a sting in an area known for street walkers. Bust guys and get big bucks for car towing and storage fees

yes, it is usually on back-page & always an in call sting, It is usually a female officer that is posing as an escort & the safety of the officer is their #1 concern, the cops would set up video/audio in her room and they will all bust in from the room next door or the bath room with their guns drawn when the time is right......This way they control everything....And they can nab a shit load of us at one shot..

It is highly unlikely that they would do this in an out-call situation. Because their, they can not control the location and can not set up the room. I guess they can wired up the female officer with hidden cameras/mics and send her in; but then there could be a psycho behind the door and blow her brains out as soon as she walk-in ( remember officer safety is their #1 concern ). Also doing it this way they will only nab 1 guy...... so chances of this is pretty slim...

Re TER, the cops would have to spend some money to set up a provider profile. They might get one or two reviews in to praise her ( & this would all cost money & you will see that the reviewer is new and has no other reviews ). This is why I always check the # of reviews and the hobbyist's review of other providers. Unless the cops are hobbyist when they are off-duty,,,ha ha just kidding....Anyway just be smart about the whole thing and most important enjoy......

Don't  laugh  or maybe really laugh.  A recent and 3 LE  elaborate sting on massage providers got egg on their official faces because some of the guys were LE and Firemen.  So far arrests are not made.

saw MSNBC about escorts etc. They saw one AMP - where it was an "operation"and they had a cop actually give the lady money from earlier in the day...then they returned later in the day and verified she still had the cash.

It never showed if the coe received services when they visited earlier in the day.

How was that done, do you know? incall, outcall, etc, etc...

assumed her identity. Best recollection is that P411 did what it could to protect folk and beefed up procedures, but not sure. You can probably find discussions about this in a Search on this board, would have to go back maybe two or three years.

That has happened a few times. As far as I know, every single time it happened was because the legit person got flipped after an arrest. It has happened in a few cities and Gina did all she could as soon as it came to her attention and warned others. I have not come across any warnings where LE had made an account on P411. They simply flipped a legit provider or client. (Yes there was a few clients who got flipped too). I "think" the damage only lasted a few hours each time (?)

Many years ago, there were 3 accounts that got flipped in WI, 3 separate incidents. I wasn't a member back then but I have read extensively about it on this board and other avenues.

Overall this rarely ever happens. I still trust P411 and do additional screening.

Perhaps search "LE P411" or "bust P411" on this board, if you care to read more. Except for 1 (?), all the rest were from years ago. I can't think of the which city, but there was one incident earlier this year.

Edited to add Phoenix and Denver were the 2 cities in the past year that had busts through a flipped acct on P411.

And when I look at reviews, I always look for an established reviewer that I recognize.

The presence of LE on here doesn't concern me at all. As far as I know, they are probably bangin' providers too :D

you have your good and bad. You especially have a high number of bad when there is any "group" mentality strongly attached to any organization. Human nature! You have your lazy, ambitious, good, evil, short-sided, crooked, fair-minded, blah blah. How people don't get this even with the badges cracks me up. Basic human psychology. Anyone who doesn't know it, is blind and beyond foolish. With that said, as with any organization or group of people, there are honorable members. Enough not to make negative generalizations of the such to the whole. ALOT of the badges are good people and good employees to their respective jurisdictions. They understand that the job is a service before anything else but it's not really fair to call them a joke as a general characteristic is it? Anyhoo. They are human. Which by definition means imperfect and many are morally imperfect too much of the time. Hypocritical too. Lol. I actually think a lot of them would admit to such. Especially in private. Lol. It also means that not even close to all of them got into the force for "honorable" intentions nor have honorable intentions/motivations in their job activities day in/out. Same with our armed forces. How anyone doesn't get the basics of this is well, quite hilarious to me. But people like to think fairy tale and kids thoughts with a lot of stuff going on now don't they?! Lol. Those ppl upset me way more than the crooked out there. Lol. I can understand why the crooked are crooked way more than I can understand them folks!! Lol. I same the same about any Extreme someone says though. Soooooo. Lol.

And of course a lot are dabbling in this too. Lol. I mean, that's not news. Two of the oldest professions are bound to consistently cross harmonic paths right?!!!!! Lol. So serious.

WTF, who jacked the post...I thought we were talking about L/E and the hobby ( how not to be arrested ). I am sure that cops, doctors, lawyers, etc etc are all human beings and many of them are hobbyist. How did we go from the above topic to defending/explaining  the actions/attitude of the PD.

Is Hectorblack an under cover cop trying to infiltrate the TER Boards and bust us all...LOL

Most people in ANY profession are committed and hard working.  I did not at all want to make a carpet generalization.

It is the policy of imposing  "someone's" morality on  ALL of us that I object to.  Morality is about right or wrong, and just because something is legal doesn't make it right.  We all know that.  The converse also holds very true.   Morality is very subjective and changes over time.

I personally know several officers, play basketball with them and yes, they are no different than any of us.   LE as a whole is not a "joke".   I just don't agree with many of the trivial things that they have to focus on.

Thankfully, in any profession or human endeavor, the vast overwhelming majority of people are decent and understanding.   They get up every day, go to work and deal with their job and life as best as they can.

TER will not post a new provider profile without an accepted, currently running internet ad/website as well as a review written by a reviewer with previous reviews already published. If they did devote the time and expenses it would be made useless upon a first notification on these discussion boards.

Backpage they need only secure a cheap motel room, run an ad, policewoman actress and lots of pens for filling out the arrest reports.

If there's an advantage/benefit to be had, someone will have taken it already.

In other words, if this was an actual valid tactic for LE to take, I'm sure they would have employed it long ago. There must be some legality/paperwork/logistical issues (bordering on entrapment maybe?).

I am sure most people are familiar with the bust of Aphrodite Companions. Let that be an example.

It is very unlikely there will be a one time fake review or flipped client account. No one should worry about meeting a provider from TER or someone verified via P411 or Date-Check. Like has been said, the cost benefit makes no sense. BP girls and street walkers are much easier fish (not equating the two...so don't yell at me).

The most likely scenario, and it WILL OCCUR EVENTUALLY, is a federal sting of a big agency or a site like TER, P411 or Date-Check. They won't hang around hotels. They will push to shut down a big fish and do it via subpoena of records, international extradition treaties (see FIFA), etc. It will happen, eventually.

The best we can hope for is the FBI not having the time or resources. As long as they have bigger fish, we are safe. When they get more money and time, watch out

of course they do and I have no doubt that some are on here in a hobby-ist
capacity.  just ask your atf.

Typically if she has been reported / wanted for other offenses They have to investigate her and the complaint.
( like she has outstanding felony warrants , she stole a clients watch, is stalking a client, selling drugs  and the most common ; a neighbor complaint regarding drama and traffic at her location. )

But for the most part higher end escorting its a victim-less crime.
The providers wording in her ads is key .
Tact and being clever will keep her and her clients out of the line of fire.
