I find MV more convenient in terms of traffic and parking. Also, depending on the hotel, MV has some where you do not need to access via the lobby, whereas not so the case DT IMO.

Do you feel more comfortable meeting a provider in a hotel in Mission Valley (Hotel Circle) or somewhere downtown?
What is your comfort level with each location? Why??
It's not the general location that causes any concern; it's the hotel itself that causes me to raise an eyebrow.
Why some choose less than desirable hotels is always questionable considering the vast number of more upscale locations that are available.

Whatever location is closer to the Lindberger field is fine with me. I dont always stay more than 1 night so I am in-and--out. I think preference-wise it would be Pt. Lomar as that it right near the airport. I'm a busy guy

I know you asked the hobbyists, but I have similar experiences going on my out calls. Sometimes the one way streets, traffic and construction can make it a little more difficult or time consuming to get around. If you miss your turn it could take 15 minutes to get back to where you wanted to be if there's construction and detours! Maybe that's just me, lol.
I think the downtown hotels are generally nicer and since they are bigger with indoor hallways, the rooms are more private.
I'd rather go downtown for an out call in spite of the challenges

I agree with the parking and driving challenges downtown, but the rooms are much better and private (depending on the upscale hotel you choose).

Rooms are just as nice in MV and Mission Bay if you choose good hotels.
When I do have to stay in MV it is always the Marriott. The pool there is great as is the bar and the restaurants inside the hotel. In fact I will be staying there tomorrow night as I am flying in to see Ed Sheeran. I will be in section B - Floor. Should be fun! Peace out! Joe
