I recently googled myself and my hometown and I was quite perplexed to see "Untitled Entry National Blacklist"! I scrolled through various options and "browsed the registry". I did not see anything recent with my name. I am not sure why this would have happened. I carry myself well, live by the golden rule, always treat the ladies well, and never bad mouth anyone. I do know that there are 2 other people in town who have my name. Does anyone have any idea how I go about having this removed? This is quite embarrassing not to mention career ramifications. I have been a hobbyist for 10 years and this appears to be the 1st issue that has come up. You are welcome to pm me or respond here. Thanks in advance for constructive advise.

it doesn't matter if someone shares the same name as you do, the blacklist websites will NOT take any offending or false statements down without a court order.
if you go through the court system, obviously, your status will be exposed for all the world to see. That's why many people do not even bother attempting to take on those blacklist websites. It's not worth it.
on the other hand, many providers that I have seen over the years have never used blacklist websites or if they did, they found out quickly how absurd those websites are.
providers who use their own screening methods have no need for blacklist websites. if there was an issue with a client, they use backchannels, not blacklist websites to spread information about that client.
bottom line... I would not worry too much about it. don't worry about your career because you can explain away that there are many guys that share your name or you do not partake in this kind of business.
how is the employer going to verify this, anyways?
