Stupid poster of all time. I'm sure Gambler or Inicky will correct me if I'm wrong. I hope not as that could put me in the running for SPOAT - which would be quite ironic, wouldn't it?
And you'll also see SPOTY which means Stupid poster of the year.
The SPOTY awards are quite an event - don't miss it. Anyone who's anyone will be in attendence.
A long time ago I was nominated for a SPOTY. I am still here and posting on occasion, so nothing bad comes of being a SPOTY other than people may put you on ignore or something like that. It is just a message board slight, not a death sentence by firing squad (though it may feel like one in the moment.)
Just remember, that SPOTY and SPOAT is a person or group of people's opinion about something. Maybe they are right, or maybe they don't understand what the poster was trying to say. Either way its outcome is no worse than the sticks and stones saying.
And for you guys that like to dissect posts, I did not change my alias because of the SPOTY nomination. I had been absent from the boards for a while and chose to change alias when I became active again. A clue for you alias hounds to sniff out if you care.
Let's see if this gets me another SPOTY nomination, seems I am due for one. 
GaG says he invented SPOTY and, unless someone can find an earlier reference to SPOAT, I invented that a day or so ago with the brilliant JCA in mind. And, yes, it does mean Stupidest Poster Of All Time. Some may feel it's too soon to award such a weighty prize but IMO, the recipient's density is of such Black Hole proportions I felt it appropriate. Besides, I made it up and I'll give it to whatever jackass I want, LOL

Quite the contrary. As for girlieboy, he's dumb alright but hasn't been seen around these parts for a while and doesn't have the multi-year track record required for consideration.
Daffy is a horse's ass but never posts here, though I have seen his bleatings on the LV board. They are welcome to him.

As you pointed out, this is the General board but followme is a one-trick pony with a one track mind - to hate liberals. He brings his vitriol to this board but very few here know who or what he is talking about. Come to think of it, that's par for the course for followme.
JCA is a frequent poster on this board as well as P&R so his versatility easily earns him SPOAT.
but considering that SPOTY's, SPOAT et al all have to do with being "stupid" I can't in all fairness call you, Laffy or even "jeffiepoo" stupid.
bigguy, nuguy,AnnoyingFungus and obviously Pimples/JCA can't make that claim, all of them are stupid beyond belief, but if we are going to start talking about SPOAT, I have to say that Fungus and Pimples are much more deserving of the overall title than any of the "one trick ponies" who only share their stupidity with us on the P&R board, which sort of takes the two "guys" out of the running for the overall title

Taking the time to search how many times a poster has posted a particular term or phrase.
Engaging in bestiality.
Wonder if he checked it for rabies and distemper. That could be the reason for his distain, anger and vile attitude.
There are of course many, many more examples.
Now I'm sure someone (can't imagine who) will take the time (because he has no life) to search for some of my nonsense.
Also since the “award” is “of all time” I took it to mean all posters past and present and all of TER.
I do However realize (and have no problem with the fact) it is your award therefore your rules and for you to administer as you see fit.
