I have been busy and did not have a chance to follow the thread below on cash, and while it is not quite off the front page, I did not comment because I figured that at this point not many will read it.

FWIW, my comment was going to be about civil forfeiture, don't know if anybody mentioned it or not, but most people have no clue the power the Federales have in the good ol' USA.   Once they seize your  money, simply because you are being 'investigated,' good luck ever getting it back.   Banks have been made paranoid and they do file SAR reports, not to mention that their computers are tracking what you are doing.  BTW, the civil forfeiture issue is so bad that the Canadian authorities issued a travel advisory to their people telling them not to come into the U.S. with substantial amounts of cash, because so many have had their cash seized by CBP because 'nobody needs to carry $3,000 [or fill in the blank amount] around.'

if the thread fell off the first page rather quickly and I thought it was interesting... but makes no sense to comment. Even a thread a few threads down doesn't get read or responded to after awhile. So I normally don't bother with that either.

I don't go back and read threads from the past unless I know specifically what I am looking for or will add to a new thread.

Last night I added to a pretty dead thread on a different Local board, but that is because I had something important to say and if even one person reads it, it mattered. It was in the middle of the 1st page.

I don't have time to read beyond the first few threads, let alone going back pages.

I will do it to get a reference from a past thread dealing with a current thread topic. Or to look up threads I enjoyed.

I can think of some BSC peeps who might do that!

Of course one keeps screwing up and getting sent to the corner to think about what he done. Another one...well let's just ay she implodes a lot.

I could vision them doing such a thing. And I could think of a couple of others that might do something that cray cray!

Even though it isn't allowed, many of us do it anyway.

On how long I've been away from the site.  Sometimes there are threads I was interested in a week before but didn't come to the site so I wanted to "catch up".  Otherwise, rarely do I go back unless there is something I want to research that I remember reading.

If I am doing some "due diligence" research on a provider or trying to find one.   Also - if I am incredibly bored....

I was waiting on a response on something and just haven't had the time to check.

Only if I'm doing research or if I started/replied to a thread and wanted to see if anyone else responded.  I consider anything after page 1 to be ancient history. LOL

But not for a particular thread. I just finished reading a book (and had coffee far too late) and was looking for something to  read. So glad I did, as there are definitely some (few) topics that I had missed and found interest in responding.
