Several years ago, I was once late for a first date. I was changing my oil in my car and was listening to the radio while I was doing it. When I went to leave for the date, my battery was dead. Oops. I was quite embarrassed but my date, thankfully, understood. Turns out being self-reliant and willing to get my hands greasy were appealing to him. (devilish grin) That was the start of a wonderful four-year relationship.
