TER General Board

Been there...

The term "hooker" and where it came from has a bit of history, urban legend, BS, and is a matter of debate. However, how you got your "stage name" is not a matter of debate (I hope). So ladies, tell us how you got your moniker? Discretion is important to all of us so if you can't tell us without "outing" someone - Don't.

There was a beautiful Atlanta escort named Tylor Last-Name. Beautiful green eyes, blonde hair, and she had a very classy, upscale website and photos and she was VERY expensive.

I decided to turn Tylor into Taylor. I wanted to have a first and last name like she did and initially I decided on Taylor Monroe, but I figured people would expect a buxom blonde with a name like Monroe. I am the literal opposite of a buxom blonde lol. So I decided to use Morgan. And ever since then, I've been Taylor Morgan, I think it suits me :)

Done that.

My porn name would be Snoopy Front

I don't know if that works in any universe

As I've worked at many strip clubs, and a few agencies prior to going independent, I've had several different names.

There were times when I'd start at a new place, that they already had someone there with the name I'd been using at that time... so that's one reason I'd pick a new name.  Or I would simply grow tired of my current name, so I'd change it.  Kinda like changing my hairstyle or color... just mixing things up for fun! :-)

How did I choose a name?   Usually I'd be inspired by a character from a book, movie, or TV show.   My first stage name was Heather, as I'd been obsessed with the movie Heathers for far too long.
My current name was originally Debra, but then it got changed to Debbie by accident.   And I just went with it.   But Debra was the name of a character in a book that I liked a lot at that time.... but that's all I remember; I cannot recall what book it was, or even the story.

Sorry I don't have anything more juicy to share on the topic! :-P

Mine's an homage to a particular redheaded character in a series by one of my favorite science fiction authors.  (That series is also where I learned the word "hetaera", actually, and that led me to doing my own research.)

(If you happen to know the character, series, and/or author - I've not given many clues but if you know them you'll recognize them immediately - drop me a line and look me up when you're in NoVa!)

Warmly,

*Maureen*

I like the name Leah and 'de Lemos' is Portuguese. I had just watched 'City of God' which is in Portuguese and all the characters had Portuguese names of course. I am also Angolan- American. Angola is a Portuguese speaking country so I am of Angolan, Portuguese and Indian ancestry.

Tina = Valen"Tina" because I'm Italian and the name is personal to me
Star = My favorite shape and obviously my skills are out of this world and I'm a star at what I do
