i was reading something the other night that was raving about using coconut oil as a type of lube.

I always heard that oil based lubes are bad for latex condoms and the article clearly points
that out. So please read everything before you comment and repeat information. Redundant info
can be so boring. Please read first. :)

The article makes some interesting points about toy play and massage using coconut oil. Are we going to see this as a pump bottle? It does smell nice.

Yes, you can only use certain types of condoms. We read that ...

For centuries women of my culture have been using coconut oil in their hair. As a young child I remember sitting on the floor cross legged while my Grandmother sat on the couch behind me in India and would dip her figures into a small dish of warm coconut oil and massage my scalp and hair with it. This oil alone is a big reason why Indian women have such shiny and great smelling hair.

Recently I've started using coconut oil as a lube when its just me on my own and I'm feeling like "getting to know myself more intimately". I love how it feels on my skin and the incredible smell reminds me of childhood summer spent in India. Have not tried to use it with condoms and while in the company of clients yet..but thinking I would like to try that experience soon.

SITARA DEVI

Apparently, it works with Female condoms. I'm sold and will have to try adding coconut oil as a type of lube/massage oil.

Especially my sessions but I do bodywork sessions, I'm a massage girl. And I use a spray bottle, works well for my purposes. Hygienic also.

It doesn't gunk up or get messy and it is very nourishing for your skin, it also has many antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties which make it perfect for what I do. I suggest against getting the liquid form as it removes the best part of what makes the coconut oil so beneficial, lauric acid. This solid form is easily warmed, either by submerging in a warm bath or my favorite a heating pad.

This has become my go to for so many things. I remove my makeup effortlessly, even stubborn mascara (except lash extensions, they'll come right out)! Sunblock that doesn't make you feel icky using it. Test first as it's not for everyone and has to be applied regularly. I use it internally and externally when I'm particularly clumsy and break skin, it happens, I'm human! I use it as a pick me up in the morning if I'm feeling sluggish. If I feel like I'm coming down with something I'll take a tablespoon. It's wonderful as a hair mask. You can add it to your food or cook with it. Keep track of your consumption especially in the beginning because it does kill off intestinal parasites and using too much to start will completely evacuate you!

So I highly recommend coconut oil but I also urge you to use the organic, minimally processed solid form for the most benefits.

If something isn't 100 percent proven to be safe for condoms, it's a no go for me.

I can understand and respect your concerns. Safety should be a major concern for everyone in P4P. AND I agree, with you.   I remember a provider asking me if I had ever tried "Natural Lamb" condoms when we were discussing the best condom. She didn't believe me when I told her that they didn't protect against viral STIs like HIV and Herpes. I told her she should Google my claim before discounting it. I got the impression that she thought I was full of it. I hope she looked into my claim. We all have an obligation for not only our own safety, but the safety of those we play with. "Trust, but verify" is one of those sayings that had saved my ass more than once.  However, don't accept everything you read on the Internet as a fact. You can find support for anything on the Internet. Verify everything by checking with two (or three)  "good" sources. Wikipedia has a lot of misinformation on the site since anyone can post to it and should not be considered "Good Source". Play Safe!

True.

If it helps in the future for guys and gals, all someone has to do is read the package on natural lamb condoms, and it's written all over the box and every condom wrapper inside. It doesn't protect against std's.

I haven't even seen these in years since they defeat the purpose I have no reason to buy them, but I had no idea the warning was so prominent. Thanks for sharing.

BTW Courtney your condom has expired :).

Better than that mass produced stuff they truck into the cinemas of today.

On the stovetop use a small saucepan, like 3 quart.  Toss in enough oil to coat the bottom and then add a single layer of popcorn kernels.

Put on a lid!

Heat over low until you hear the first pop, then turn heat to high and crack the lid so steam escapes.  As popping finally starts to slow down, shake the pan to keep things moving.  When popping slows down to a second or two apart, dump the pan into a bowl, top with salt or seasoning or just enjoy it plain.

If you leave the pan on the heat too long it'll start to polymerize the oil making it difficult to remove.

What no microwave version?

With coconut oil but I do not use it for sex pla

We use Coconut Oil for cooking as it's said to be a healthier alternative than olive oil. In general coconut oil if applied to skin isn't all too easy to wash off and the scent lingers which for some, could be difficult to explain! We find most store bought lubricant's (we use Durex) work well with condoms and wash off easily which is probably more important to our clients than moisturised skin. Based on the benefits listed however it would still be interesting to try at least once.

A friend told me that coconut oil helped with psoriasis so I started applying some a couple days ago. Jury is still out. Will report back.

Especially in the state of Kerala for multitudes of things. It is the most used cooking oil. Kerala literally translates to Land of Coconuts.

It is a unique tree, all parts of the tree is used. From making Coconut Toddy to building houses to thatched roof.

massage and play.
the red one has ylang ylang, it smells like cotton candy! Tastes amazing!

you can lose the cap while using it and it will NOT spill, it has one those squeeze to get product type at top bottle, Where as other lubes you cant just take cap off and then toss it on bed next to you it will spill.

Get a cheap crock pot from dollar store put on warm, then shut off and keep your coconut oil in thier so its melted and warm, . Use that for like arms and legs massaging between pops. Not good a s a lube, Food products also arent really good to be goin inside your vag.

Durex tropicals condoms too taste and smell yummy, banana orange cherry colros n flavors.
then that new durex they did it again, they always rock, I love thier condoms and now the new lube i love too.

coconut oil should be reserved for massaging the body not as lube . I rewcomend durex the new one with the leak proof bottle, the red one with ylang ylang is the best!

then of course you need your seperate anal lube , at least i insist on having anal lub for toys ...........I have a tub of its caled elbow grease, white tub black lid . works superb.

I have heard food items olive oil and cocnut too not good for goin inside the pussy it mess up the ladies ph and will give her a yeast infection cuz its a food item and shouldnt be in the pussy. ......

rut row!! ... Didn't read my article did ja? "Coconut oil has unique properties that could be a benefit for use as a sexual lubricant: anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and excellent at moisturizing It’s (Coconut Oil) recommended for treating / preventing yeast infections — those who get yeast infections easily should absolutely consider switching to coconut oil" So it can go inside ... YAY!

But thanks for the lube tip. I'll have the durex, the "red one with ylang ylang" Sounds like fun.
