Did you follow up to find out if she got in touch with your references?regular_smile

Sometimes it gets busy.  Did she say that the date did not happen because of this?  Or are you just wondering.

When the lady gets right back to me, it's easy and I appear organized and on top of things.  but when she doesn't, I sometimes I forget that I'm waiting for that and I appreciate a reminder from the client, or a follow up, "Have you finished my screening yet"?

Some clients will ask me first if I'll give them a reference, which is nice and a good idea to make sure I remember who they are and I'm willing to recommend them.

But most do not.  Usually the request comes from the provider and I give the reference without ever speaking to the client about it.

I have been an infrequent, but long time hobbyist with a number of reviews over the years.  I recently contacted a provider, who requested references.  I gave her a couple with phone numbers.  She indicated that it would help if I contacted each provider to assist in this effort.  Is this SOP?  I didn't and the date did not materialize.  I would like some input as to how far do we go in setting up dates.  Thanks

Plenty of others around. Just move on if she can't be bothered to do her homework after you provided the references.

Freya,
You always have the correct thoughts.  ;)
Yes we get busy, and often references do
not respond in a timely manner for this very reason.  No fault
on the provider, or referencing provider.
However, a text message
is always most expedient to reply to.
Fact: it is best "Hobbyists" to contact your references prior,
to give them "the courtesy heads-up" (no pun intended ;) ),
regarding a fellow provider will be contacting them for a clearance
