Someone else will have to give you the exact price, but they do discount the rate the longer you stay.  I want to say it was around $50.

Really.. Good to know. About how much they charge for that? If I recall, it was $24 for every 4 hours. So say checking at 10pm to noon next day, it would have been $84. There are many options at that price.

I've stayed there overnight.  They do charge by four hour blocks, but you can ask for a room overnight.

I think they charge by every 4 hours blocks. I wanted to stay and sleep a bit after, long drive back. I wasn't planning on checking out until noon next day.

We do many overnight dates at La Mansion.  What makes you think you cannot.

If you have choice of La Mansion, Villa Zaragoza and Palacio Azteca, where whould you prefer? Location, cleanliness and convinience to good food considered. Any input is appreciated.

If you want good food, you should look away from the short term "love motels."  They do not allow in and out privileges.  Once you leave, you need to buy another room to return.  Also, I've never had the food from one of these motels, but I can't imagine they're very good.

Look into Ticuan.  It's a little more expensive, but the rooms are nice, they're chica friendly, and it's only a quick cab ride to good food and nightlife.

But out of the three you listed, I'd go with La Mansión.

I agree with Ticuan but I remember I had a girl get stopped at the front a d asked for my name even though she had the room number but what ever. Ticuan is great just wish they had Jaccuzzi  rooms available  on the weekends.
La mansión is good and now they allow coming and going but let then know a d never leave valuables there.

I didn't know they allowed you to return.  Good to know.

It is hit or miss as far as in and out privileges.  They do have good room service and it is 24 hours.  Ticuan does offer Jacuzzi suites but it is best to get a reservation there as they fill up quickly.

Well, ended up with Villa Zaragoza. I had an overnighter so La Mansion wouldn't work. The rooms were clean, manager was very nice and great location. Ricardo diner right next door was pretty good and open late. Rooms were dated but did have a flat screen. Thanks for all the input.

Please elaborate, why did your overnight prevent you from using La Mansión?

We do many overnight dates at La Mansion.  What makes you think you cannot.

I think they charge by every 4 hours blocks. I wanted to stay and sleep a bit after, long drive back. I wasn't planning on checking out until noon next day.

4 hour blocks at La Mansion are for Friday, Saturday and now Sunday.  At 10pm Sunday you can get a room until 2pm the next day.  Monday thru Thursday you get until 2pm the next day.   Rentals are currently at $24...whether it be for the 4 hour block or after 10pm Sunday till  Thursday when $24 gets you until 2pm the following day.

You don't make it clear if you want a room for a session or for a home base.  Or if you will have a car.  Both matter.

La Mansion would be my choice for a session.  But since it doesn't have in-and-out privileges and you have to rent a room in four hour blocks on Friday and Saturday I wouldn't use it for a home base.  It's also a long walk from the restaurants on Sanchez Toboada, which are the closed first rate places to dine.  Plus it takes a taxi to get to the Zona.

The rooms in Palacio Azteca are better than those in Villa Zaragosa, but not as nice as those in La Mansion.  That being said, Palacio Azteca is not close good restaurants and (like La Mansion) it take a cab or your own car to get to the Zona.

The rooms at Villa Zaragosa are decent.  It is also within walking distance of the Zona and close to a lot of good restaurants such as Tupios/Centenario on 8th between Madero and Revolucion, the top flight restaurant in Caasers near 5th and Revolucion as well as the almost next door Richardos.  (Which isn't as good as the others I mentioned but is open 24 hours.)

However, none of the above would be where I'd stay.  I'd pick the Ticuan on 8th Street between Revolucion and Constitucion.  It has better rooms than the Villa Zaragosa, and all the location advantages of the Villa Zaragosa plus the Ticuan has a decent restaurant.
