and our partisan bickering over scraps. Most of the issues that divide the political parties are of minuscule importance compared to the fact that the US is reverting to the 1880s/90s and the robber barons are running the show. Organized labor? dying on the vine. Collective Bargaining? Right... workers rights? Sure, if you work in India. They've just hoodwinked Americans into "buying" their bad debts, created by shoddy and unethical business practices, aimed at bilking other Americans, with taxpayer money. These few families own the politicians regardless of party. They are fueling the increasingly partisan and divided political dynamic and throwing so much money into campaigning that your candidates are utterly dependent and servile to their interests. And they laugh themselves silly watching us feud over "our" candidates. Wealth is concentrating in fewer and fewer hands and the middle class is disappearing. In a few generations. these robber barons will hold the workers that are left in this country in virtual slavery. I'm not saying that there are not real and fundamental differences between the parties, only that when it comes to the future of our country, whether there will be a free society in any meaningful sense of the word, our current political "choices" are virtually meaningless.

Just so. However, the capital is all flowing in one direction!  In my native Germany, by law, any publicly held company has a board of directors consisting of 1/3rd each investors, management and workers. You do not see companies "managed" to  show a good quarterly report while selling off the means of production and firing workers or exporting jobs. In Germany, education is free. At every level. You want to be a doctor? Get good grades, and the government will educate you. When you graduate, you become a state employee and provide medical care for a good salary. You need medical care? It is delivered at no cost to you, and it does not have to be rationed as in systems that try to socialize medicine on top of a private education system. Because I am a dual citizen, I had a good bit of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery done at no cost to me in Germany after I retired from the Military. The US Government did not care about how you looked after thirty years of service. America is my adopted country (for 45 years). But the EU is kicking our rear end in gross national product. And they are doing it while maintaining individual liberties that mean more than those in a state where all of the money is flowing to the top.

Not meaningless if Obama wins and puts a number of very left liberal Supreme Court Justices on the Court that have the ability to change society as we know it with Gov and all kinds of functions that will be set for years.

The Supreme Court has no power over the people that own this country. They may change social policies for us, the new underclass, perhaps make some of us happier, but that is all. There is nothing within the purview of the Supremes that will alter the the concentration of wealth in fewer and fewer hands.

The Republicans "stand" for limited government and fiscal responsibility. But the people who own this country want more control over the lives of citizens so we get the Patriot Act. And a huge taxpayer funded gift to the robber barons that otherwise would have to pay the consequences of their business decisions.

The democrats took congress in 06 on the promise of ending the war in Iraq. They arrive in Washington and find out that the folks who are making money on the Iraq war will no longer fund their campaigns if they end the war. They don't end the war. In fact, we get a "surge". They speak against the surge but ultimately cooperate with it.

Do you think it would have made any difference at all if we elected skull and bones member John Kerry instead of skull and bones member George Bush?

The battle between the Ass and the Elephant is about nothing more than table scraps for the masses, bread and circuses, an opiate, to create the illusion that the hoi polloi actually have a say in anything.

Are you saying there is no collective bargaining and workers rights in India? My research indicate that there are vibrant union activity there.

Are you stating India hood winked US to buy their bad debt? Havent heard or read about that.

The true failure would be to sit on my ass and lament the situation. Americans dont do that. Or at least they didnt used to.

We stand up and we fight back. Yes our forefathers victories have made us complacent.

Its more important now than ever to be vigilant and fight back any way possible.

Your demoralizing bullshit is getting on my nerves.

Go the fuck back to Russia or whatever hole you crawled out of.

So what would you have us do?

The way Im seeing it your position is all is lost and nothing really matters anymore. Believe me pal thats just what your imaginary friends want.

A far more dangerous position than mine Im afraid.

NO!!! We stick to it and give 'em hell. Fight back with everything at our disposal.

No wonder I cant stand East Europeans they sit on thier ass trying to sound intelectual and poison everyone who will give them the time of day with thier insidious bullshit.
