Twitter confirms deal with Google
Twitter CEO Dick Costolo confirmed a deal with Google, giving Google access to Twitter data and allowing tweets to be included in Google search results as soon as they are posted. The change will not be active for several months.

lthough our tweets are public how does this then apply to those who have selected for their account to remain private? You would presume they would still be able to maintain that level of discretion.

I follow a number of ladies on twitter, but I nave have posted or tweeted, don't really know how. But what does get shown if you do tweet? I was careful to not hav a twitter name that is representative of my name but the twitter screen itself always shoes my name. Thank you to those in the know that can answer this for me. I'm a social media idiot.
