You may be on to something here....

A guy could get a whole new identity, new email, new computer and service provider, new job and references, then set up a date at the grandfathered rate.

When the gal opens the door and sees the former client all he has to do is say:  "My God, you mean you know my long lost identical twin brother?"

I've dealt with this for big companies but this business strategy confuses me.

Provider cancels her grandfathered rate to loyal customers and now offers a discount to new customers?  So is she sick of us old guys and is willing to trade us for some unknown outcome for less cash?

Like to get some provider feedback on this one. Another case of hooker math?

I don't think this is a widespread issue, most likely an isolated incident. Probably, looking for some new clients that have more "hard" to offer than just "hard cold cash".

Usually, we cut off grandfathering because enough new clients are paying more.  Which means you'll then need to pay the current rate.  Maybe just resubmit your screening info, and tell her you want to be a new client :)

Jk!

Who knows what she is thinking, but she may not value your patronage any longer.  There are plenty of new ladies who would probably love your business!

"You are no longer grandfathered in at my old rate" = "You've become too much of a pain in the ass to keep as a regular."

Sorry, dude.

Most gals forget that when raising their rates often times it fails to stick.

So keeping those grandfathered rates is vital.

I'm sure you know of other gals who tried to go up too fast, only to end up eating their own words and texting those very dudes they had tried to discard.

Hopefully those dudes who got the "you're a PITA and go away" message reply in kind.  Or better yet, work a real deal out for themselves.

Tough business you're in.

If you old ugly but you were clean and treated the provider nicely and respectful she would continue to see you.
If contrary you were sweaty , rough, ugly, fat, disrespectful or/and pushy then that is the reason she don't want nothing o do with you anymore

Yeah, that's hooker math for you.

I've been loyal to a regular before - saw her for a couple of months, always
on time, always good to her, paid her right, took her to lunch on her Bday like she requested,
paid for her bail when she was arrested, etc.  Then, one day, she said she needed cash to get a room, so I hand her $$ on the parking lot, then she drives away with the $$ and left me in the parking lot. WTF.   I was pissed and furious.

Anyway, after 2 years, she tries to come back to me and wants the same relationship as before.
I, of course, told her I don't want to hand in $ in parking lots - she has to be naked in bed before I do that. And told her I won't do any cash advances, etc.  Didn't hear back from her.  Obviously, she was hoping to get the same royal treatment and extra privileges as before, but she bit the hand that fed her.   I have forgiven her, but I won't fall for the same trick twice.

If a lady raises her rates and continues to get more business then she can handle, she probably should eliminate the grandfathered rates but the smart ones probably don't do it for everyone. I have a few clients (non hobby related) that have special rates. They give me consistent business and its worth doing the work for a bit less. Nothing beats reliable income.

I do see someone that has raised their rates considerably and asked her about it. She said she'd never do that to me. It may change at some point, and I wouldn't be offended. If the change is to much for me, I'll just move on.

Let say her Regular going rate is 300 = R
Let = G be the Grandfather rate at $200
Let N be the new client rate = $175
Let F = time of sex for break ove Set 10
Let say it takes 3 guy before she gets a new repeat who hook.
Let T = cost of a body repair from a abuser Set at 50K
Let c be the odd of abuse with a regular set at 1%
Let E be the odd of abuse with a new guy set at 2%
Let M1 and M2 BE TOTAL MONEYmade
For staying the same F*G-T*C=M1
Or 10*200-50000*0.01=1500
For getting New clients
N*(F-7)+R*(F-3)-T*C=M2
Or 175*3+300*7-50000*0.02= 1625

I raise, you all pay the same. Despite what SJG has to say, my rates do stick, and I've almost tripled mine in a year's time. Lost one client over it. So be it. He's a cool dude and I can respect the fact that I crossed over his personal threshold. We still chat nicely on boards.

What is 'loyalty' in this hobby? I'm not keeping all my friends just to me. They can see anybody, at any time. I certainly do as well. We owe each other nothing.

Stop it with the "hooker math" crap. We're not all uneducated dimwits. You might be surprised to find the majority of us are quite the opposite. You use degrading terms like "hooker math" and seriously wonder why we could care less about "loyalty" or grandfathering a rate or even justifying a rate?

Bottom line is, she doesn't have to justify it. It is what it is. If you don't agree with it, you are entitled to that. And you move on to the others whose "hooker math" makes more sense to you.

The "majority" of you are quite the opposite of uneducated. What do you define as educated? A high school diploma or GED. For those of you that are "educated" why don't you get a job in your chosen field? Oh wait, there aren't a lot of jobs for liberal arts majors. Actually you are smart. You realized you should be doing what your best at.......taking money from men to please them.

This past year, my ComCast bill went up by 30%.   Yet there are special offers for new customers at less than what I paid prior to my rate increase.
No amount of negotiation or threats to switch to another provider got me any results, so it's doubtful that strategy would work for you. :-)
