What you're asking, unless it is... how to make going down on another woman safe? Well I would say that it's riskier to put a penis in your mouth unprotected, all things being relative. Based on my reading there are higher levels of HIV in the semen of infected men than in the vaginal fluids of infected women.

You could use dental dams, but... yuck, not me. I love women! Isn't it interesting that HIV came on the scene and practically dessimated the gay population (because HIV is much easier to transmit via anal sex), but not the lesbian population? Just a thought to ponder... but do your research!

google.com and lesbian HIV, or oral sex HIV, or oral sex female HIV.

Read this one too, it refers to female to female transmission as RARE for a reason... and this case involved blood transfer.

Essentially there's not enough info to state a numerical risk... ie the risk is 1 in any number. But I think that's true about ALL sex acts, not just this one. It's very difficult to study.

If it seems like I focus on HIV, well, I do. The kewl part of that is that protecting myself against HIV protects against all the other bloodborne diseases. A good visual check is the best anyone can do about herpes or warts. (Yes, I know it CAN be transmitted with no visible sores, but it is far less likely!)

Best,
Tamara

Ok...How can you make sessions with couples (as a provider) enjoyable and safe for all those concerned?  I need some suggestions, especially the F/F and partner swapping.  Providers or hobbiests PLEASE respond! or point me in the right direction to do research.  Any one that has had a M/F/F interlude.

Thank you!
