Read about a big bust in a city out west where immigration and other authorities busted asian cat houses which operated in quiet suburban environments.  Most of the women were basically held against their will and forced to provide sex to clients until they paid off their overly inflated loans of $40-60K.  These women were mislead about the type of work they would perform in the US and threatened (i.e., we know where your family back home lives) if they did not "pay" off their loan.  The were not allowed to leave the "house" and were basically sex slaves.

I find this abhorrent and refuse to see providers who I believe are in this situation.  I feel that doing so supports the slime who do this to these women.  I feel sorry for these women and do not want to do anything to aid their captors.  I urge all out there to boycott these kind of places, AMPs included and only see providers who are out there out of their own free will.  I think everyone can identify between which is which.  Do the right thing!

CNN had a short report late last week about the same subject.  Apparently very young girls are being kidnapped against their will from Asian countries and especially from Eastern European countries.  They are sold into virtual slavery and they are constantly threatened with harm to them or their relatives at home if they do not cooperate with their enslavers.  There was an article in the Sunday New York Times written by a reporter who delivered first hand accounts of what he witnessed.  This situation is sickening, providers should only work if they are willing and fully aware of the consequences, sex slaves do not meet either of those conditions..

Yes this practice is abhorrent. However Just because an establishment is an AMP does not mean it uses slaves. There are some advantages for the girl who is not a slave to work for an AMP. It's safer for them for one. They don't need to advertise for another. Most of the AMP girls in my area come from California and usually contract to stay 3 months and then leave. This greatly reduces the chance of being outed to friends and family.

I totally agree.  I cannot understand how the other person knows that a woman in an AMP is there of her own free will.  He sounds like he's justifying his patronage.  Many foreign providers are in fact victims of sex slavery and to patronize those places you take the risk of helping those engaged in slavery.  Therefore, I will never go to an AMP or any other ethnic-based house where all the providers are from abroad.

I will stick to independent providers and reptable agencies.  Like I said there are always signs when a woman is not doing things of her choosing.  To not see those signs, one must be blind or have selective vision.

Maybe I have just been justifing to myself my patronage of AMP,s. But really the same doubt can be cast on any agency.
I honestly don't beleive that the AMP's in Honolulu use sex slaves. They have the largest share of the activity in the islands. If you ever read any of the local reveiw sites it is clear that they are the most popular form of the hobby here. They are mostly Korean, and I know a couple of Mama's who you used to be providers and now run the show.

I've visited AMPs in the past, and have gotten some of the best service/value I can remember. So it really depends on the AMP, and the way they conduct their business. And there are ladies who travel and work at the different AMPs around the country.

Met one lady at an AMP back east, who was Vietnamese and from the Los Angeles area. Early 20s, gorgeous, and loads of fun. She enjoyed the travel, the money, meeting new people and the s$x. Exploited?......hardly, she was telling me about her golf handicap, and her next vacation back to Vietnam. MfSD>>>>

This has been my experience also. If you think about it the girls don't have to be Asian to be enslaved. The sterotypical pimp relationship is also slavery. In my area the white street walkers are brought in from the mainland by pimps, I think it is far more likely they are enslaved than the girls working the AMPs here. They target the Japanese tourists, for them blondes are exotic.

I don't know about seeing providers who are sex slaves, but I do know of a few providers for whom I would gladly be their sex slave.

I am skeptical that they are held against their will, except in perhaps very, very rare instances involving a single woman.

How hard is it for a "sex slave" to establish a bond with a regular and whisper in his ear for him to send the police?

I think the term is used more in a political sense than a real one.

Two points.

1. I too am skeptical about the article that appeared in the NY Times. This writer investigated this for months and found ONE bust in NJ somewhere. If it were as prevalent as the author made it out to be, wouldn't we have heard more about this?

2. It is impossible for a sex slave to send for the police. They are taken as very young children and are utterly broken. Additionally, if they try to escape, it is common for their family members to be hurt or killed. The slavers only have to do this once or twice before the word gets out.

The article illustrates the process of how the girls are broken down. Again, while I do not doubt this happens, I DO doubt the numbers the article cites (10-20,000 in the US ANNUALLY).

If nothing else, it's worth a read. After you read it, read a couple of critiques of it as well. THe critiques basically say it's a real problem, but this guy played fast and loose with th rules of journalism to make a point.

Hey buddy

Before you let your skepticism become a fact in your own mind.  Bear in mind a major bust took place just this last week in a major city on the west coast.  So what does that tell you --- two articles talking about two separate busts in two parts of the country.  The "lack" of busts does not mean that enslavement isn't taking place.  Your logic is like stating "I've seen a bear shit in the woods just once so how often could they possibly shit"  LE just doesn't have the reosurces to bust all of these places.  Think about it.  These aren't the first instances where there's been coverage of these busts.

As to the other person, look it just so happens that the majority of foreign sex slaves are either Asian, Latina or Eastern European all parts of the workd where desparate women will jump at the chance for a job in the US - a job which it turns out is not what they were told they'd be doing!
