But when I do "tip" (an escort), I just put extra in the envelope. With a masseuse, I might tip if the massage was above and beyond, the happy ending, no matter how wonderful, seldom gets a tip.
The problem with tipping a GFE escort is this: We agree to SHARE sensual and sexual pleasure. If it's good, it's good; if it's bad, it's bad. End of story. If it's really, really, really tremendous, then lucky US. Not how good of her to treat me so well.
If I pay her car fare or parking fee, that's different. That's me being a nice guy. It depends on where and when.
Apparently, because providers see themselves as "shop-owner" professionals, and not as wage earners, most of them take offense if a man tips on top of the donation. So...maybe...if the service wasn't up to snuff or if she wasn't the hottie you thought she'd be, leaving a tip might a polite insult just to offend her a little bit. Just thinking on the keyboard.

Once in awhile if I see a provider with a rate that is crazy low and she performs like a provider with rates that are way more, I will tip. However this rarely happens.
When I started doing this (still am a newbie), I tipped. After listening to the voices of reason here, I changed my policy. I don't tip independents. I may see an agency provider soon. If she's good, I'll give her a tip.
One reason I changed my behavior was that, as my repeat providers' rates went up, I was never told that I was grandfathered in. So, what I gave before that included a tip is what I give now just for straight rate. I won't extend the courtesy of tipping if I'm not extended the courtesy of grandfathering. It's a wash, though, as the dollar amounts are the same.
Looks like I'm in the minority here. I usually leave something at the end of an outcall to help pay for the room charges. I put it in a generic greeting card and write short message in it. I can't remember what I do at an incall, I've been away from the action for a while.

In tipping. When I'm at a restaurant or a bar I tip for receiving their services this should be no different unless the provider isn't doing their.job. Tipping gets you better treatment from any escort as well though
