The groove

Change is a major part of this venture. People come and go all the time for a million reasons. In fact, because of a certain fed adventure, many of us are currently on a steep learning curve. With the creation of hundreds of new escort sites, the curve is even steeper. What I've found interesting since then, is that the new ladies have changed. I've made roughly fifteen attempts, and have yet to score a new lady session, and I'm talking mid to high end ladies with high ratings. That includes a communication breakdown, and a no show the last two weekends. The new ladies out there are much less professional, almost scattered in the manner in which they operate their business. I'm going on a hiatus of sorts. No more attempts at new ladies for awhile. My old friends will be very happy about that. Thank the escort gods for them.

I hope your reintroduction goes smoothly. I also hope that the new gentlemen you meet are much more professional than the new ladies out there.

After being away from the scene for a number of years after retiring, I find myself returning. It's been a little more than  6 years that I've been away, and a lot has changed in that time. I missed the hobby, to be honest, and the money is always a great bonus. Having said that, I'm find it's a bit of a learning curve to re-adapt. Phones have become the dominant equipment for web browsing. Some major websites have come and gone. Harder still was to learn that some people in the hobby I knew  before have passed away. Have any of you, clients or providers, returned after a long hiatus to find things have drastically changed?

Seriously. Most of the changes seem to make the game easier. I know you're not asking for advice, at least not from clients, but I would suggest you take a few hours of down time to pretend you're a client yourself, and scout the territory for possible gold. Look at the sites and ask yourself which ads stand out and grab YOUR attention.

Probably your OP will garner some advice from providers via PMs that will be helpful.

As far as getting back in the groove, expect things to be more sociable. Assume some of your clients will expect swank incall digs. Allow for a tad more "romance" in the encounters than you might have experienced in days of yore.

Welcome back! Have a ball!

No but by any chance you took a rocketship to another galaxy.
If what for were 6 years, where in actuallity 60,000 years in earth years.

You don't know any of us. You're in the distant future

Going mobile yet still being able to call.  Simple text messages.  Complex text messages.  Picture messages?!?  Maps on screen.  Browsing a website.  Challenged myself this year and successfully arranged an entire meeting using only the phone.  Not bad for a circus bear riding a tricycle -- that's how my friends have described my technological adoptions at times.

People are people, they come and go, but the experiences we share still follow a basic format.  And it's a fun format!

about a 50% turnover in the ladies who are advertising in my area as well as the posters on the regional board.  People move on and in your case, people return.  Welcome back.  Hope your return is all that you are hoping for.

Take some time to relearn the ropes.  If you are bright (and I believe you are given your reaching out with your post), you'll get that mastered in no time.

But the values of giving a wonderful experience and valuing your safety about all never change.  So stick to them and you'll do fine.

Welcome back.

I also took a hiatus and came back after several years- only 4 for me. But yes- huge learning curve as I have had to learn a whole new way to work. Not sure I've got it down, but I'm moderately busy and having fun so I guess that counts for something! :)

I'd definitely try to get onto the PO board if you can. Maybe attend a local meet and greet to "re-introduce" yourself to your community. If you're in Vegas, you have a fantastic bunch of ladies. Try reaching out to some of them. Have fun!

I exited and re-entered a while back before realizing I can't stay away--this truly is a calling for me!

When I returned, I also learned that a few people had passed.  That was very sad news.
I saw how some companions had evolved in their marketing techniques and online personas.
I also noticed tons of new advertising sites yet the top ten or so are the ones that have been around for years and still going strong.

I'm assuming you're in Vegas with the 702 reference?  If so, please reach out to me, I enjoy having friends who are also sex workers!

Cheers and my best!

Dear Heather,

I sincerely hope that you will reach out to me given the fact that we are both in the same position with returning to the hobby after an extended hiatus. I know EXACTLY how you feel right now!

Yes, the times they are a-changin', and I, like you, am trying to get brought up to speed with the rapidly-changing Internet.

I never had a website before, I never advertised a phone number.... oh my, so very much has changed when, in the past, we enjoyed a stellar reputation based solely on our name, alone.

Also, learning that former clients have passed is an unimaginable hardship. Mourning the loss in real time for people who were in your "other" world is a huge challenge. I get it, and I can totally relate to you on this, Heather.

Please keep the faith, as I am trying to do, and good things will come to us both.

I'm only an e-mail away ([email protected]) if you ever need to vent.

You will prevail, Heather! Sending you the warmest of sisterly provider hugs across the miles....

xoxo,

AR
