Met with a provider the other day (not a TER girl)
Barely few minutes into the session, someone knocks on the door and says "Security"
Provider tells me to grab my stuff and hide in bathroom while she puts condoms lube in drawers.
I'm thinking :
1. This is deep shit. LE
2. This is a scam. I'm about to get robbed by her accomplice.
Luckily , it was hotel security and they were responding to a complaint about smoke (weed) from neighbors.
I was definitely nervous.

If hotel security or real cops knock, you can quickly exchange a bit of personal info (i.e., real names and other driver's license stuff) before opening the door and just guiltily admit to having an affair. If they have enough evidence to convict either of you, they have it already before you hear the door knock.
The bar for kicking her out of the hotel or barring her from coming back is lower. If this seems likely. you should stick around somewhere to be sure that she isn't kicked out and has a place to go if it comes to that.

The only time this happened to me was in the lady's own apartment, the lady looked out of a side window and said that the guy looked like a young cop. She advise ignoring it. We did, and it worked

Dude, I really don't think you have an obligation to open the door, even if it is LE. You paid for the room and it's an invasion of privacy. You never have to open the door to the pigs. They're not God lol...

I once went to see a friend in his hotel room. It was our first time meeting. A few glasses of wine in there were knocks on the door. Some one had complained of fighting, security had came to check. Scariest five seconds of my life, EVER. I think the nerves are on edge for both sides of the fence the first time meeting. Shit happens, but I know it got both of our hearts racing
Just another reason I don't go to hotels ... my neighbors don't complain about anything. 
Don't leave the envolupe out, get clothes put away. Who ever rented the room, throw on a robe, warm ups or sweats.
Smoke free rooms are a problem, especially weed. Duhh.
But NO admit nothing.
LE might have a right to enter with valid probable cause... ie, someone screaming like they were being attacked... trying to figure out which room thecry for help came from. But I would not let them past the door, see there's no one hurt here. LE would not have cause for a search.
Hotel Security / Management has more rights if they think that hotel policies are being broken like smoking in a non-smoking room. But that just gives them the right to charge you extra, not enter & search your rented room. So again, I'd not let them past the door.
Don't lock yourself out! If it was MY ROOM, I'd take my key & go out in the hall to speak to them. After giving Management a brief glimse through the door, I'd let the door close. If Management doesn't respect the privacy of it's customers, I'd not be going back. Preferably, I go back in my room & close the door.
I wonder if such incursions are attempts to inconvience providers / clients to discourage their use of the hotel. I bet there are providers in virtually every hotel... some wink at it. Others frown
