What a shame.

From the gist of the TER rules, it's against the rules regarding doxxing.

what is doxxing, you might ask?

here's Wikipedia's description of it...

Doxing or doxxing (from dox, abbreviation of documents) is the Internet-based practice of researching and broadcasting personally identifiable information about an individual. The methods employed in pursuit of this information include searching publicly available databases and social media websites like Facebook, hacking, and social engineering. It is closely related to cyber-vigilantism, hacktivism and cyber-bullying.

Doxing may be carried out to aid law enforcement, business analysis, extortion, coercion, harassment, public shaming, and other forms of vigilante justice.

there you have it folks... it's best NOT to do it to anyone in here. It's about the same as 'outing' someone in here.

have a great day!

prior to a date.  On both parts.  Public information & searches of pictures.  Hacking PVT information is another thing altogether.  If one discovered a lady was making a serious mistake (one gal I used to see, her ad could have led LE right to her incall.  I knew exactly where she was staying.  I warned her, she changed the ad.  All done in private.)

I've had ladies who revealed real world information, to be only used for the reason given...  which I hold in confidence.  Not to be disclosed, ever.

TER represents itself as a business that does not tolerate public exposure of real identifiable info. If a guy gives up his info for screening, TER provides no rules on that process. As long as his info isn't publicly posted here. They create rules so as not to associate themselves with misbehavior with that info. It's a way of setting a standard for the industry, through example. Even if that's not the intent, it still is a result.

But a guy passing on personal information for me to verify he's ok to see is completely outside of TER. TER is responsible for itself, not google, facebook, etc.

Searching a person while screening if only used by the person(s) entrusted with the info, (escort & screener,) is not a bad thing if only used on a 'need to know' basis. TER is setting rules for their own business. "If you want to do that shit somewhere else, don't bring that shit here. That's not how we operate." (I believe.)

I do wonder, if someone has a reputation for exposing people's info on other sites, and TER finds out about it, if they allow them here and ask that they not do it here... Or do they eliminate (i.e. Blacklist) the person from TER to prevent it from happening here?

... that only TER admins can answer.

I often wondered if people (providers and hobbyists) who do out people on blacklists are even allowed in TER in the first place.

does TER do any "background" check on those people? who knows?

you do bring up a good question, though.

Re: TER rules are only for info on TER, like posting info on boards, in reviews, etc.
