Sometimes I wonder if the more we anticipate something wonderful, the more we unconsciously make ourselves vulnerable to nasty outside forces sidelining us? Who knows- maybe it lowers our immune system or something. Seems to happen often enough to wonder about.

Anyway- sorry about your missing out. But at least you are considerate enough to not subject the provider to cold germs....many other hobbyists might not be so thoughtful. And there's always next time.

Here I sit: kickass downtown London hotel suite, P4P is legal...and I'm alone.  Had to cancel my date since I came down with the common cold three days ago.
Scheduled our date over 4 weeks in advance too!

Only action I could handle right now is a hot tub, a back rub, a bottle of scotch, a happy ending, and a nap - order not important.

No real point to this post other than to complain about rotten timing and see if others have sailed that same boat.

I've had to cancel due to illness, and she's canceled due to illness... sometimes life just has to fuck with you...

It would be a windfall for her... you can say it's for a low key evening doing what you set out below.  Nyquil optional.

on a recent trip one very highly reviewed girl (of two I was hoping to see, the other was great) cancelled due to having a bad cold that she didn't want to share. I was pretty glad she did, I don't want someone showing up red-eyed and sneezy and snuffling through my BBBJ.

I've done it too. Life happens.  If you're dealing with good girls and aren't abusing it to cancel because you're a flake, it's generally fine. In fact, one I cancelled due to illness at the start of a trip turned out to be a memorable experience five days later when I was feeling 100% again. Be honest, don't use it as a bs excuse, and most will understand.

I visited my Dad and Step Mom and had a date planned out on the last day of my trip for nearly a month. I had to endure 5 days with my parents but the reward was at the end of my stay before I left to come home. My Step Mom was very sick with a nasty cold when I arrived, and of course I caught it. I was able to give the lady 48 hour notice so that she could make other arrangements. But I still had to endure the 5 days, without the reward. Instead of going home happy, I went home sick.

I once canceled close to week ahead of time because of a broken rib. Life is like that.

At least I'm not overseas.  But I'm home alone for a week while SO is at her sisters...  I'm improving, but not quick enough.  I would not have a date while sick.  The gal I cancelled, wrote her thanks...  then I remembered she has serious asthma.  Good call.
I'm on day 5 of the cold...  first was coming on, 2-4 ran it's course, 5 improving but not enough yet.
I saw a FBSM provider who had a bad cold...  honestly she should not have booked.  She had to leave the room to blow her nose, then wash her hands.  At least she did.  My hour took a long time...  I was getting cold in between...   At least I didn't catch it.

at least in my experience mega doses of zinc (like in Cold-eeze) can knock out a cold in about 2 days.

Sometimes, as a gentleman, you have to the right thing.  I feel your pain.

Just be sure to make it up to her next time

when I had a cold. Each time I let the provider know at least a day before that I was ill, and each time the response was along the lines of, if you feel up to coming, then I'd like to see you. So I did, just took meds so I wasn't sneezing/coughing/nose dripping during the session. The sessions actually seemed to have therapeutic value.  :)

I've never had a provider cancel on me for illness per se, although once my ATF asked me to call her a couple of hours before a scheduled morning session and when I did, she told me she'd partied a little too hard/long the night before (end-of-semester/holiday party) and asked if we could postpone. She also asked me if I'd like to come over for tea. So I did, and one of her friends (also a provider) was there, both in their jammies. We had tea and a fun conversation, and I had a few hundred bucks extra for Christmas shopping.

Can you pledge to be cheerful at least one day this holiday season. I know one shouldn't need holiday season to be cheerful, but if anytime is a good time to be cheerful, its holiday season..

I haven't had to yet, and it surprises me to a certain extent.

Yes, please cancel your appointment if you are sick!  You passing on your illness to us means we don't see clients for several days or weeks.  Thankfully, it's only been a couple of times I've had to cancel because I've gotten sick, but I wouldn't think of passing it on to others intentionally. My goals is to provide pleasure, not spread misery. :)

Another thing....if you come down with an illness a few days after you see a lady or client, please contact them and let them know so that she can take preventative measures.
