Well stated Pablo. Also, they don't have to look at old or unattractive guys having sex with them. (Different if it's done with both of you facing a large mirror.)  :)

Not to belittle the OPs situation but  I have heard girls that text, talk on the phone or watch TV while dong the session doggie. What is the point, you are almost literally phoning it in. If it is that distasteful you should reconsider your career choice.

So I've noticed that I have a weird hang up the last few years. One of my favorite positions is missionary. To me it is the most intimate position, but I've found that I am really uncomfortable doing it anymore. I'm afraid I'll make my partner uncomfortable by having my body and everything that close and tight to hers. To be honest I'm afraid I'll gross her out- cross a boundary I shouldn't cross. Yeah I know that is probably really weird, but am wondering if anyone else feels that way. Should I just get over it and go for it?

If you mean an SO why not ask if this is comfortable for you? If you are older, gained weight, have anything medically related like arthritis, knee replacements she would know and perhaps welcome a conversation. As we age things change, for both parties and what is beloved is still loved but the way we accomplish it is sometimes in need of an "update".

I agree, nothing more intimate than to look into the other's eyes and share than special moment.

thanks Chrissie Dahl
I was thinking more in the hobbying context, but do suffer from many of the maladies you discussed. Yep nothing like looking into each others eyes at that special moment

Ok, then the lady you see can be told what you limitations are and ask  if she can accommodate you. Often the women will say in their narrative "I see people of all abilities" of something like that and can be open to most problems. I have even heard of some providers that are nurses or PTs and are trained to accommodate disabilities. I wish you well in this endeavor!

Thanks Chrissie
I think they way I wrote my question was confusing. I can perform missionary fine, I was really wondering if providers minded doing the position because of its intimacy. Thanks for the good wishes, though. I can always use those.

Ok, and thanks. I can be a little obtuse at times myself. I think, like you know it is very individual and like kissing...so do and some don't. That being said it is always the chemistry.

It's a wonderful and intimate position which allows great eye contact, DFKing and mutual rhythmic actions. I say get over it and enjoy!

It is the most intimate. If it's someone you've developed chemistry with she may enjoy it. First time out, she may prefer something less engaging. You just have to become a good read.  There's a reason they all say they like doggie - it's like we're not even there.  But for someone you've seen time and time again, there's nothing more intimate than missionary.

ah Pablo very insightful. Yes, i hear doggie is my favorite position often. And maybe that should be my read. I have always suspected that meant I do not want to do missionary. Thank you

Quite honestly, I once caught someone watching TV during missionary so I don't think the position really matters. If they're not engaged they're not engaged.
