We do get involved in the collection of cancellation fees IF the following can be compiled. We would then suspend the client's account until the dispute is resolved. About 80% are resolved, and 20% are clients lost to the wind.

1. Show that the client contacted you through P411 for this appointment. (we will be able to see this in your account)
2. Show that the client confirmed the appointment, with all final details exchanged and loose ends tied up.
3. Show that your cancellation policy is clear and understandable. It also must be posted on your P411 page, on your website, and included in the exchanges (email or pm) during the booking process.
4. Show that you have already attempted to collect your cancellation fee, and have allowed at least 24 hours to pass with no result.
If you don't have ALL of the above information available to show to us, we will not get involved in the collection of your cancellation fee. We will make notes and keep an eye on the client, but nothing else. Also, in some cases the details of the booking and the ensuing dispute become complex and difficult to unravel, in which case we will often decide that we will not get involved.

We also get involved if a client sends a provider a deposit for an appointment, and the provider screws him for it. Again, we would require specific documentation.
We DO NOT get involved in any sort of loan collection though, sorry.

If I took offense to every person who wanted to "work a deal" with me...I'd be living on an island somewhere all by myself. Life is like a box of chocolates....blah blah blah
Like I said, most guys are typically more than happy to compensate for the inconvenience/loss of revenue, and some don't give a fuck. Here's another fun fact, though: several times, I've had guys cancel last minute, then when I brought up the cancellation fee they magically got out of their "work meeting" hahaha.
But in all the years I've been in P4P...and all the dudes I've ever bantered with (maybe in the thousands)....not one has ever admitted to paying a cancellation fee.
In that same vein not one dude has ever gotten a gal to pay him when she had to cancel...for whatever her reason.
I can see that neither side would reschedule under those circumstances.
But my question was how can a gal (or a guy if she bails) go about collecting it. I see you wouldn't attempt collection. Thanks for your insight.

Most pay it with no issues. Some don't. Obviously if they don't, they don't get to reschedule.

She never asked for it but I paid it when I next saw her. Now you have met someone who paid one on the board.
That would be my guess.
