Send it to collections, they'll hound the shit out of him. -e-

END OF MESSAGE

It would seem odd that any guy would pay it.

Just as odd that any gal would seek to enforce it

he'll have to pony up the cancellation fee as well as pay for the next session.

I have an idea a good many never get collected.  I sure as hell don't expect to see them end up in small claims court unless someone really wants to get on New of the Weird.

Having a cancellation policy is a gentleman's agreement. It is up to the guy whether he wants to be a gentleman or not. She clearly states her expectations and he agrees to them when he sets up the date. It is his choice to honor his agreement and there really isn't any way that she can enforce it. It does not seem odd at all that a guy would honor his word and pay it. It is not like he didn't know about the cancellation policy when he booked. Sure we all can get away with not doing the right thing. It is just a reflection of our character.
I don't think that many gals seek to enforce it. They may not book with him again or withhold references but it's not like she is going to send his account to a collection agency.

What a lovely way to put it Heather! "A Gentleman's Agreement".

Here's to meeting a few of those! :)

I'm not clear on the circumstances required, but I know they do.

Otherwise, what Mr Fisher said.

Since I'm not a member of p411 how would this possibly happen?

I'd be quite interested in any fabricated version of this.

You meant to say:

"I'm not clear on the circumstances required, and I have no idea if they do or dont."

We do get involved in the collection of cancellation fees IF the following can be compiled. We would then suspend the client's account until the dispute is resolved. About 80% are resolved, and 20% are clients lost to the wind. :(

++++++++++++++++++++

1. Show that the client contacted you through P411 for this appointment. (we will be able to see this in your account)

2. Show that the client confirmed the appointment, with all final details exchanged and loose ends tied up.

3. Show that your cancellation policy is clear and understandable. It also must be posted on your P411 page, on your website, and included in the exchanges (email or pm) during the booking process.

4. Show that you have already attempted to collect your cancellation fee, and have allowed at least 24 hours to pass with no result.

If you don't have ALL of the above information available to show to us, we will not get involved in the collection of your cancellation fee. We will make notes and keep an eye on the client, but nothing else. Also, in some cases the details of the booking and the ensuing dispute become complex and difficult to unravel, in which case we will often decide that we will not get involved.

+++++++++++++++++++++

We also get involved if a client sends a provider a deposit for an appointment, and the provider screws him for it. Again, we would require specific documentation.

We DO NOT get involved in any sort of loan collection though, sorry.

Always,
Gin

Thanks for setting Marie (and other's who appear to not understand) straight  ;)

I don't even have a cancellation fee, so of course I didn't commit the details to memory.

I was just pointing out that there are some hobby specific methods (ie: if you use a service to professionally vouch for you, they have some interest in making sure you're vouch-worthy.)

If that were the case you'd see far fewer complaints on these boards from both sides.

The verification sites are nothing more than...well, verification sites.  They make no pretense to vouch for any guys here.  Simply they provide a service to claim that a dude was verified at some point.

As for my cancellation fee question...I'm still asking as to how a gal would go about collecting it if she indeed has it on her site or ad.

Now, if she screwed him out of it, maybe, but when she screws him for it . . . in that case, the only documentation needed should be a well-written review.

Most pay it with no issues. Some don't. Obviously if they don't, they don't get to reschedule.

But in all the years I've been in P4P...and all the dudes I've ever bantered with (maybe in the thousands)....not one has ever admitted to paying a cancellation fee.

In that same vein not one dude has ever gotten a gal to pay him when she had to cancel...for whatever her reason.

I can see that neither side would reschedule under those circumstances.

But my question was how can a gal (or a guy if she bails) go about collecting it.  I see you wouldn't attempt collection.  Thanks for your insight.

Like I said, most guys are typically more than happy to compensate for the inconvenience/loss of revenue, and some don't give a fuck. Here's another fun fact, though: several times, I've had guys cancel last minute, then when I brought up the cancellation fee they magically got out of their "work meeting" hahaha.

Certainly minimizes the risk of the dude bailing.

But just as in my last example...so few dudes I have known would ever give up a deposit in an illegal business venture.  Just too many ways for things to go south.

So how was the session(s) with the dudes who were planning on bailing, then when you told them of the cancellation fee they miraculously were available.  Seems like things wouldn't be such a blast.  But I have no first hand experience in that...so I'll trust that they were happy?

I guess I just roll the way I do.  I make a commitment...stick to it as well.  I pay a fair rate on everything in life.  If someone thinks my offer is unfair, they have the option to reject it.  Some do...most don't.  You know I would not ask any gal to negotiate a stated price....hence I will explore rates that aren't stated.  Simply allows "her" to make a decision.

If I took offense to every person who wanted to "work a deal" with me...I'd be living on an island somewhere all by myself.  Life is like a box of chocolates....blah blah blah  ;)

She never asked for it but I paid it when I next saw her. Now you have met someone who paid one on the board.

There's always one outlier.

But you never shared that with me in the past...why?

You wouldn't be making this up now...not you  ;)

I suppose you also paid your doctor/dentist a cancellation fee at some point as well?

I paid one once. Gal drove half way cross state to meet me. I screwed up the date by a week. 110% my fault. She was an ATF. She didn't ask. I offered. I felt horrible. There. Now I feel better. But what does it matter? I pay gals to eat, sleep and shop.

But I am a mangina.

If I agree to a meeting and fail to uphold my end, and if the reason the meeting is not happening is on my end, I would owe said cancellation fee. It isn't that complicated.

Can you answer it otherwise?

No question some would pay a cancellation fee without urging...others won't.

What to do with those who won't is the question.

They're owed money for a cancellation.

I doubt many johns would really care if she's withholding sex after a cancellation....perhaps followed by a litany of threatening emails/texts.  Perhaps she may want to use the "I'll blacklist you" battle cry as a last resort?

Maybe we can flip this around...how does a guy collect his time (and presumably lost earnings) back when he wastes hours (maybe a vacation day) with a gal who cancels?

I trust the answer to either question is the same.

That would be my guess.

get private detective to go get the fucking money

While i request a small deposit, if you cancel you don't lose the fee, you get to apply it another time or another party with a different lady.  Its a booking deposit not a cancellation fee so you never lose it
