i always had great oysters at the Brigantine in DM and also in Escondid

Looking for delicious oysters near Torrey Pines.
Something casual yet romantic. Thank you :)

The Fish Market in Del Mar has the best Oysters Rockefeller I have ever had as well as a nice Oyster bar.  It is casual but I wouldn't consider it romantic at all.  Another casual place near that with outdoor tables right on the ocean is Poseidon's.  Never tried the oysters there though.

Pacifica Del Mar has ocean views and touts great seafood. I haven't been there in a bit so not sure on set up anymore.  Brigantine is casual and has outdoor ocean and lagoon/track views along with more intimate booths indoor as well, and has an oyster bar with at least two types to choose from (usually east coast vs west coast). Pamplemouse does oysters as well and has a nook/type booth in the bar area that would provide the more intimate setting you may desire. If you're willing to travel north a bit solace in Encinitas always has a great oyster selection.

Gotta stop. This is making me hungry!!

I can second Poseidon as well, and if my memory serves the Rockefeller was great! May I also suggest Island Prime and Seafood on Harbor Island? Wonderful waterside tables especially nice for sunset, and the best food and service in San Diego. Not inexpensive but very much worth it.

Herringbone in Downtown La Jolla had great food and is gorgeous inside with live olive trees inside the restaurant. Very sexy inside.
Happy hour is $1 oysters too.

I'm a happy camper! I dined at Poseidon's, Pacifica, Georges, Eddie V's, The Shores, and The Brockton Villa. All were great finds, thank you so very much! Now, any suggestions for Newport? I'd like restaurant that are situated RIGHT ON THE BEACH.
