END OF MESSAGE

It's been a while since I've reviewed but I saw a hot little porn star recently. I had a  great time and decided she'd be my 60th review.  I submitted it last night, wondering when it would be approved.  A little while ago I checked and found it was listed as "unapproved" because I'd referred to her as a "hot little slut" a couple of times.  The accompanying comment was that words like "slut" are now considered "abusive language."
How funny/annoying/ludicrous is that?  You can't call a hooker a slut?  To most girls, the only thing about that they'd disagree with is that most say a slut is a mere civvy who fucks for free and only a dummy does that.
So, guys, be forewarned, you can fuck a prostitute for money but in TER-land you can't refer to her as a hot slut. What next?  Weill we need to wear white gloves whilst writing reviews?  LMAO!
This has been a public service announcement.

That has been ter policy for as long as I can remember.

The word slut makes it sound like she is just giving it away!

And if this has been the policy for a long time then it hasn't been enforced the way it is now.  I guarantee if you go back through my reviews you'll find language that's similar to what was not approved. (And, no, I did not check my reviews on this as I'm far too lazy.)
And I did point out that slut "makes it sound like she is just giving it away," which makes me wonder if you can even read.

I stopped reading once you started repeating yourself, so I did not see that you already agree with me.

Some rules are self explanatory/enforceable.

While I'm sure you didn't mean it in an offensive way, I personally would want to avoid that kind of language being present in my reviews. It's a little demeaning and I wouldn't want potential clients to infer from it that I'm okay with degradation. It's not the word in and of itself that bothers me, it's the underlying tone.

I know y'all don't like political correctness, but you'll live. :D

Nick meant it in a flirtatious and playful kind of way...

I personally would never use such a word, because I completely know it won't go through. Especially given my relationship with TER.

Back to working on my Science Project.... Errrr Review # 45 and 46...God damn...spell check.. "incall" is a word.. :D

The word pimp never goes over too well around here...

Not to mention - Pimps don't cry,

... I didn't invent English!

Monger

Denoting a dealer or trader in a specified commodity:

IDK why the language gets butchered here in America?... it just does.

We may not use the term monger along with it's assigned definition, but we do.

I don't give a rat's ass if you call me a trick, a john or a whoremonger.  Because thats what I am and I own it. Of course, that's not all that I am but...

I prefer the term "hot little whore" there's no mystery to it's meaning.

The girl here is using it as a positive, as a way of attracting business.

So if in my review, I said, "she advertised she was a slut and I can affirm that she most certainly is one" that would be a no go?

Seems odd and contradictory.

I don't think TER wants to go through each ad just to determine whether or not the language in a given review is appropriate or not. Most ladies don't use that kind of language in their advertising, so the way that chick words her ads doesn't really apply to the general population.

On behalf of all working girls, would you say Ms. Telford that there is now a certain code that can't be crossed when alluding to or describing a woman that would work in your capacity? Also how do you think this will modify future reviews with respect to this issue on the site?

Rule #2 from Review Policies:

Be fair and honest in your reviews -- this is what the providers do for a living. PLEASE BE WARNED: We will not post any review that slams or denigrates a provider, nor will we post reviews that contain such derogatory terms such as: Cunt, bitch, slut or any politically inappropriate wording that might hurt someone’s feelings. [quote

I posted a review about two years ago stating that a provider was dressed like a "slutty schoolgirl" (you know, tiny plaid skirt, tight white shirt, knee socks, hardly covering anything, but designed to look like a revealing version of what a schoolgirl would wear). Hot as hell. They did not approve te review at first, and then I engaged in a conversation with both the lady in question (who, admittedly, replied that she had mixed emotions about it, though she admitted that I interpreted the outfit correctly) and the TER review reviewers.

It ended up being approved when I pointed out that slutty was describing the outfit and not the woman. But I do not plan on using that word again. And, no, I do not think it is a bad thing that they try to limit the nasty shit reviewers can say about women by controlling some of the words we use. Slut does not apply at all, since a slut gives it away all over town, and last I checked, that is not what providers do.

I figure we can call providers whatever we want in private, and I am sure they return the favor, but in public we need to all be respectful, or at least try to stay close to that.

You can probably say a girl has a cunt but you can't say a girl is a cunt. It's the interpretation of the word. I think the wise George Carlin said it best in his '7-words' you can't say on TV.

The real problem is the moderators are just keying in on a word and not looking at the context in which it is used. But, it is easier that way, they don't have to give it any thought. The reviewer could have helped himself also by putting the 'slut' in quotes and indicating that the provider was happy playing this role. Because that was what it probably was, a role that the provider was more than happy to play.

See, out of those words, I think "tart" sounds way better than "slut".

Just saying.

I do note one term I like was left off.  In the Old West they used to call them "Soiled Doves." I think I've used that in a review and know I've used minx.
But the day I need to use a thesaurus to write a review I'll hang it up.  Thanks, though, for an interesting contribution.

The term army groupie should be included on that list.

i never use the terms slut..cunt or whore in my reviews..we have to limit our use of derogatory and insidious language in our cum sucking fucking reviews..

Slut is my least favorite word in the P4P lexicon. I find it vulgar, demeaning and offensive.  However, I still believe that it should be allowed in reviews. While I may hate the word, some providers embrace it as a term of endearment and, as the OP suggests, make it an active part of their marketing. In such cases, the “slut experience” is an accurate review description, with no offense intended by its author or taken by its recipient.

But even a pejorative use of the word would provide useful insight into the character of the reviewer and his attitudes toward the hobby, allowing the reader to assess his review accordingly

For example, most girls would say the "C-word" is their kryptonite and "slut" is no big deal.  Everyone has a right to their own opinion, of course.  As you know, I'm certainly not one to disrespect women, especially not in this game of ours. I just refuse to be PC and enjoy pushing the envelope here.
As for whether "slut" is used in an offensive way or not, you are right that context is important.  So here's the way it was originally used in the review:
"Wow! What a hot little slut! Fresh and unjaded, Hope really seems to love what she does."
So, you may not prefer the word to another choice, but I think you'll agree it wasn't used in a pejorative way in this case.
And, as I wrote to Tobi when she called me a "trick," I'm fine with that as well as John and whoremonger.  I simply find it impossible to be offended by such names.

I cannot imagine you making a gratuitous derogatory jab in a review. I completely understand the context of the remark and find no fault with it.
But I went one step further. If someone is inclined to use words like slut, bitch, cunt, etc. as slurs, I would like those included in the reviews as well. They would make the vindictive reviews readily apparent

ah yes,,, here it is... In this case, I think Zig got TER to post his review as he wrote it..

Of the word slut that I have often found that women dislike more.

Calling a woman a "slit" IMHO is worse.  Kinda the the same as calling them a "cunt" by dehumanizing them into little more than a sexual organ, or the opening to said organ...

But then again, some people would embrace the word, so I guess its all about intent.  If you use it a derogatory way vs. Playfully.  IDK.

Is there an adult in the room?

This is the same inane bullshit that has TSA forcing a Caucasian, American English speaking blue haired septuagenarian from Utah to expose their colostomy bag and associated prosthetic at airport security so that no radicalized Muslim suicide bombers board a commercial airplane.
