as some like to see what I look like to put them at ease and after all.. I see your pics, why not see mine? Only fair! I'm not married, have nothing to hide..

On a recent date, the provider commented that I look "different from your photo"; she was referring to my profile on the verification site that I used to contact her. Well, I told here that I do not use photos; she quickly logged on and confirmed that - indeed - it was another client (I stood away, facing the back side of the screen, in case you are wondering). No harm, no foul...

If you've been reading the Newbie board, you've seen all the "must I really give personal information" posts from folks trying to figure out how to get screened. There is real paranoia there....

So - do you/would you upload your photo to your profile on a site? Why?

Providers: does the presence of a photo makes any difference to your response to a request?

Guys in high school used to hate my good looks, as I used to land all the cute girls.

I just don't want you mongers to hate me.. !!! Please don't hate me !! :D

But here it is..

Just don't get me wet... you know what would happen

...it goes right in the trash.  Believe me when I tell you that including a photo says nothing good about you - no matter what you look like!

like emailed photos after the appt is set but before we meet.  It's not a requirement, but it one, helps me recognize him when I arrive at the bar or restaurant where we are to meet.  And two, it gives me a face to go with our pre-date correspondence.  This helps me visualize whom I'm communicating with and helps me visualize all the wonderfully nasty things I'm going to do to and with him

I didn't ask, but he sent it to me in his intro e-mail. My guess is because he was truly strikingly handsome and thought he'd have a better chance of getting an appointment. I was available, so it didn't matter anyway. But, you know darn well I was REALLY looking forward to meeting him. lol

I don't think it's a common practice, really.

I don't think the presence of a photo would make any difference to my booking with him. Only thing it would do is maybe put me at ease more prior to the date. You can tell a lot about a person from the way they look. Not even talking about handsome guys. But, if the gent had a really kind face, genuine smile or just looks normal, that's great. I get so nervous the moments before I get the knock and look through the peek-hole.
