I've been here for a bit but don't think of myself as one of the experienced members. I was reading a thread on my regional board and it got me wondering.
Is there a point where one's TER presence/profile is a reasonable substitute for a reference checking services like Date-Check? One reason I'm wondering about this is that I'm really not using the other service for any communication or searches these days and don't have any idea if providers see "activity" by the user on those services.
Just wondering what the collective brain trust might have to say -- from both sides of the relationship.

Most just want to check your references in one way or another. To me, if you have lots of reviews, whitelists, etc there's no need for you to use a screening service.
I think the screening services come in handy if you don't write reviews or don't want to bother with giving references every time you want to see a new girl. So it's totally your call if you think you need to keep it or not.
Just to take a little left turn here in view of your subject line, what I don't get (and makes me a little queasy) is that while I don't write reviews, I'll give a girl my screening service but she never checks my profile before she sees me. I don't give her much else to go on as I figure the service has all she'll need, but she doesn't show up as having searched

As for one lady, she turned out to be a bit of a hot mess and I doubt she ever looked any further than me giving her my ID. Others, they seemed a bit more meticulous and maybe they can see the reference part without clicking the whole profile view (I mean, I wouldn't care if I like the room cool, perfume, or high heels either). But yes, I am hoping they do not pretend to screen - thank you.
Some are OK with TER ID w/ review history and board posts. Some want ID + one or two verification memberships. Some of them also want to go back and forth with providers on details of the guy. Some want all of these plus your DNA sample..
So no one size fits all answer to your question...
For me.. I just send a limerick, and she cums twice even before I get there..
