Skoken like an ugly American.  Meaning a person who tries to impose US cultural norms on those living in a foreign--and soverign--nation.

Tipping is rare in Mexico.  Many locals do not even tip waiters and when they do a 10% tip is a good one.

In Tijuana tipping escorts in not the norm.  Nor do escorts in TJ expect to be tipped.  If you want to tip that is fine, but do not be lead you to falsely believe it is expected or requited.

How do I know?  I have lived in Tijuana for over 10 years.  Plus if you know anything about Tijuana prostitution discussion boards my handle should be well known to you as belonging to a well known "escorts monger."  (This regional board was started as a result of my "lobbying" TER to create it.

Never done the pro thing in Tijuana before.

Going to use cumintijuana.

You just tell this guy Mondo where you want to meet the provider?

Any suggestions on hotels?

And what can I expect to pay for hotel?

You guys tip the provider or is that included in price?

Thanks.

Tell him who you like, or tell him what you are interested in: he might suggest some choices.  You can suggest a meeting place or have her go to your hotel...or he can tell you where to meet.

If you are planning for a quick hit, Premiere and Mansion are popular hideouts for about $25.  I usually tip: then again, the experience there is much better than what I get in the US.  Even with tipping, you literally get more bang for the buck.  Just be ready for the trip back across.

Everything said by viceroyd05 is correct.  Mondo has some good girls.

Mondo's girls will generally meet you at a particular place at the border like in front Mc Donald's and they will  take you to  the love motels (Premiere or La Masion), which are very inexpensive.  Rooms are actually pretty nice.   I usually tip if the girls perform well.

If you want to get a hotel for an overnight, then I usually go to Hotel Ticuan.  There are good places eat around there.  It is close enough to the strip clubs on Revolution st, but you still need to take a taxi.

You need to plan your trip according to when the border gets busy.  If you don't have a Sentri pass or global entry pass, you can be in line for 2-3 hours during peak times waiting to get across the border.  Weekends are usually bad, so leave at night.   Weekday nights are the best times to cross the border and not wait too long.    I have a global entry card so I never have to wait.

The above information is accurate.  But some food for thought...

The three places I would recommend--especially for those new to Tijuana--are:
--La Mansion
--El Premier
--Ticuan

La Mansion and El Premier are both "love motels."  The rate is about $25.00 USD.  Both are very nice, but both require a cab as neither are within walking distance of places hobbyist/tourists visit.

Also, with "love motels" there are no in-and-out privileges.  Leaving is the same as checking out.  And on weekends your stay is limited to four hours (after which time you have to re-rent the room.)

The Ticuan is a nice hotel (on 8th between Revolucion and Constitution) in downtown Tijuana.  It will cost $65.00+, but comes with in-and-out privileges and your time goes until about 2pm the next day.  Since it is downtown it is within walking distance of things to do and places to see.

Are you going to see more than one chica?  If so the Ticuan may be the way to go.

Do you want to explore Tijuana?  If so the Tiucan may be the way to go.

Revolucion is the main tourist drag.  If you want to buy trinkets, a leather jacket, etc. then the Ticuan is probably the better choice.

Do you want to eat while you are in TJ?  (There is a decent restaurant in the Ticuan; however, I recommend eating elsewhere.  Centario's is on 8th--about a block from the Ticuan--headed towards the border after crossing Revolution.  It closes early, is inexpensive, and has some great Mexican "home cooked" food.  While the restaurant in the Caesar Hotel (about 5th and Revolucion) is an upscale place that will more than hold its own in any US city.  (I like their Chateaubriand.)

Do you want to visit the "Zona Norte," Tijuana's red light bar district?  If so it is about a 10 minute walk (8th to 1st) from the Ticuan.

As to where to meet the chica.  Mundo is a competent guy and will help you hook up with the escort--be that at the border, in a Love Motel, the Ticuan, etc.  The question is do you want to do things on your own (even something as simple as shower and relax in a hotel) before the date or would you prefer somebody to meet you at the border "show you the way."

About tipping:  Tipping is optional.  (And I think the majority of hobbyist do not tip escorts.)

Overall, Mexicans do not tip or do not tip as much as is the custom in the US.   Locals do not tip cab drivers.  Some do not tip waiters and a 10% tip to a food server is consider a generous one.  (Of course, many people in Tijuana's service industry have a double standard for Gringos, but that does not apply to tipping escorts.)

Buena suerte!

The clients of escorts tip and tip well in Tijuana.  It goes a long way to show appreciation for a good job.  Actually this is a big attraction to get new chicas in escorting.

how much generally is a good tip?  Percentage wise? 10, 20, 30%

I was puzzling over the prices at the Premier earlier this week, so thanks for clearing that up. (Your post was also uncommonly well written.)

Do any of the hotels have free wifi?  Or do you have a Mexican/US phone plan you use to contact the agencies once your at the hotel?  Thanks for the help.

Yes.  Ticuan is one of the hotels with free WiFi.

In downtown Tijuana and near the border some cells phones have reception.

Thank you for the response.

I'm in LA and was going to come down on a Thursday and stay for two days and come back on Saturday. How bad would border crossing be (walking across) at approximately noon on a Saturday? Thanks for your help!

With only a standard passport, I would estimate a 3.5-4 hour wait.  With Global Entry, 15 minutes.  I assume you don't have GE yet, but if you plan on visiting TJ often enough, it's an absolute must.
