END OF MESSAGE

I came across an interesting little test. Not sure if it's got any value beyond entertainment, but it was fun! Wanna play?

I expect that more of the ladies will score higher than the gents, but it will be interesting to see how it works out.

My results:
Comfort in Social Situations
 100

You are totally at ease in circumstances in which you are expected to mingle - or you at least make it look like you are! While you may very well feel a little self-conscious at first, you can settle down quite quickly once you get used to a person or a social circumstance. Like learning to drive or working a muscle, being comfortable in social situations takes time to develop. Keep working on your social skills and continue exposing to yourself to a variety of new social situations

I'm very good at social situations, but lately I wonder if that is a good thing or a bad thing. I honestly feel that I am a good man, but recently have wondered if I would be a better man if I was less glib with handling social communication.

I was thinking the same thing while taking the test. I'm good at being who people expect me to be in front of them and others- meaning I'm infinitely socially presentable- but as I get older, I'm finding I have less patience as well... Less patience with ignorance mainly. I've never been "nice" in situations in which people display bigotry or ignorant hatred, but as I've gotten older Ive been even less so.

One thing is for sure- I'm not "socially skilled" enough to maintain a job in which I have to work directly under someone. I've usually told them off for stupid shit they do and walk out. I'm much better as an independent contractor.

ME!!! LMAO

I agree about having a job, I am completely unemployable, no one would put up with my shit and I certainly wouldn't put up with anybody else's.

that if more of the world lived for their passions and not some invented prescribed idea, we'd have a happier and more peaceful planet.

So you learn to bend things to suit your purposes in order to survive, and that includes counterfeiting social niceties. Like right now, I'm pretending to offer you support and show that I like you, but in truth I don't know you, don't really want to know you, consider you trash because of how you make your living, and would probably lump you in with all the other mindless middleclass serfs if we ever met

You really need to work on your delivery.

Dry deliveries seem to work better in person than in print, and your's is about as dry as they get.

But for all the appreciation I get for my charms, I still view all these mysterious and wondrous social interactions with disdainful ignorance. Nothing is mysterious or wondrous to the misbegotten, unless it is his own isolation, which is the mistress of his existence and as inscrutible as destiny.

The last time I had to provide that many answers, it was a cop who was asking the questions. ;)

So tell us more about that, 89Springer! Lol! ;)

But hey- at least I'm not trying to jiggle your planet... Lol!

Tell you about which time? ;)

Don't you charge for jiggling someone's planet?

Here's the results of the survey:
Even with the best of social skills, someone who is not totally comfortable among a group of people will have difficulty being himself or herself - this doesn't seem to be the case with you however, at least not all the time. You are generally at ease in circumstances in which you are expected to mingle. While you may feel a little self-conscious at first, you can usually settle down once you get used to a person or a social circumstance. Like learning to drive or working a muscle, being comfortable in social situations takes time to develop. Don't allow uncomfortable social situations you faced in the past to sidetrack you. Keep working on your social skills and continue exposing to yourself to a variety of new social situations.

Yep, def some anxiety.  I routinely speak to groups of 100 or more and it ties my stomach in knots every ****ing time but I'm fine the moment I start speaking.  Oddly, knowing I'm going to be just fine does nothing to mitigate the sleepless night before or the nausea.  Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger I guess!

before a big test, a very much anticipated engagement, or an international flight. I totally get the sleeplessness and gnashing of the teeth thing! I don't speak to too many audiences (anymore), but when I did, I did it so often that I mostly just flew by the seat of my pants and went improv. I got really good at it. But no matter how many tests I took, take, or will take, I get that whole reaction. Bah!

One of Robbin Williams close friends said he had no social skills when 1:1
but comes alive in front of a crowd

You don't seem like a guy with 25% social skills out of 100.

Interesting test and interesting replies to the thread.....

It wasn't "men" specifically, it was "clients" generally I was referring to. Only because I think these skills are skills a provider would need to hone for doing this work. So the clients' responses would be a more accurate reflection of the general population than the providers' responses, regardless of gender. So what will tell me if my hypothesis is wrong is if a provider (who doesn't use an alias) scores really low.

but somehow I scored a 100 as well, and it was very much to my surprise. When answering the questions I actually answered as honestly as possible, even though in many cases I thought I was giving the "wrong" answer, or at least the answer I did not think would score highly. I truly expected AFTER taking the test that my answers would have gotten me a score of 70 tops.

I guess I know have the answer, if AnnoyingFungus scored any higher than a two, there is something very, very flawed about this test. lmao

drinking and talking to agency owners. I know, I have seen you in many occasions in serial M&G’s.

You are just lion behind your goddamn computer shit head.

Gaggers ball sucking Drunken shit right behind him. Why don’t post yours.

You didn’t even take it just like Gagger buddy because you both already know everything and too fucking scared to take the test

Some persons’s exhibited here surely don’t have social skills. Constant paranoia, constantly thinking providers after their private information to black mail them, asking childish questions about should I do this, that and the other is a sign for lack of confidence. When you do not have self confidence, then one is socially awkward.

When it comes to providers I have met both types and I don’t repeat with those who are socially awkward.

It was boring.  Does this mean I don't give a fuck about others and find what they think of me to be inconsequential?
And, if the answer is "yes," do you think I care?
ROFL

and the degrees of separation not at all clear.

I suspect that was by design as many psychological tests follow that mode of design to weed out people who try to game their answers.

However, in such an exam, it is hard to quantify the answers in a manner that says something significant about the population in general.  Rather, it is done as a tool to allow a psychologist to work with an individual and find a way to get them to reveal more, and become more self aware.

That is the only real value to such exams, in my humble and non-professional opinion.

And I bet you stayed at a Holidaty Inn Express last night, too.
(and, no, that was not a typo)

and also took a few psych courses in college.

I also practice therapy for free with more than one provider now and then.  It makes for a pretty interesting time, especially when I suggest sexual healing.

so I got a 99% for stubborn and, no surprise here, a 3% for socially adept...

looks like for those that actually finished, I win the kewpy doll.. wonder if she's life size ?

hich is not surprising to me since I am a high level manager.

got to have at least a master's degree and a level temperament to get to my level. a doctorate is better, which I am currently working on now

I'm also quite certain you're a high level manager.   You make sure those shelves are properly stocked.

I think that you're a hooker now...working on that PhD.

You're a riot!

gender guessing is quite comical.

what makes you think that my posts comes across as "provider material"?

are you implying that providers are unable to get PhDs? That's a reach...
