Over a 6 year period, Franklin Raines received 90 million dollars in compensation. Much of that was bonus money for increaseing the volume at fannie mae.

Franklin Raines belongs in prison and should be fined 50 million. Instead he was one of Obama's advisors!!!!
All heads of large financial institutions receive that kind of compensation. In fact the leaders of all of the institutions necessitating the bailouts receive FAR larger compensations. You don't need to do a damned thing to get that kind of bonus compensation except to sit in the highest chair at these companies. The numbers are offensive to the general public, and frankly, to me too, however, this is completely standard accepted practice in the financial industry.
