everyone I talk to says that the ladies in the spas just put on a act.  that there is no feeling. do you agree or disagree

I don't get what you are trying to find out about your survey here, but kinda generalizing the definition of spas, their are different kinds of spas, whether you're in a resort, you're in a Doctor's prescribe spas, Asian, Korean, Nuru, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Latin etc, etc, but anyways why are you worrying about their feelings  you go to this places and get what you want have a HE or more and go home, they don't care about you, they probably have 100 guy waiting for you to finish your appointment and they wash up, sanitized and .  who's next. Answer: everyone is correct

I like to go to jazz clubs. Very old-fashioned to most of you. I like jazz. Used to play. Still know a few musicians and sometimes I buy someone a drink and talk. When I'm listing to the music, I feel all kinds of things. I really enjoy the whole evening. New renditions of old Tin Pan Alley songs, free improvisation, who's sitting in with who, happy sounds, sad sounds, sounds that make me want to dance, to meet a new woman.

Now the musicians enjoy playing the music as well. They might not feel all the things I feel, but they might more enjoy making me feel what I feel. They enjoy finding a new transition riff. They might enjoy how they all manage to come in on the one no matter how far off the chart they go. Of making "Little Brown Jug" come off like a love song.

I think the providers enjoy how well they give a massage. It can be hard work, giving a good massage, and the masseuse isn't enjoying it in the same way as the client, but she probably gets a rush when she finds a new way to work the back muscles loose that no one ever taught her and that she's never stumbled on before. I bet she enjoys seeing how good a client feels when she's relaxing him.

Now, there are undoubtedly some who are just there for the money and figure a back rub is just an excuse to get naked and get her john off. But even those girls probably feel better when they do a good job.

Jazz is a very complex art, while massage or sex work is by comparison very simple work. But the way they enjoy their work might be very similar in kind if not degree. If they started enjoying their craft in the same indulgent way that their audience/clients do, the quality of their work would suffer greatly and, IMO, wouldn't be as rewarding.

Hope that spells it out enough so you can see how they feel about what they do.

Noe, because nobody knows anything about what really goes on with another's emotions, I'm sure I'll get a lot of flack for this kind of posting. So, since most of you are unable to understand that I am asserting an opinion, and have no intention of showing you any survey data to support my view, this should be taken only for what it is. An opinion. If you've come to believe that the way the provider enjoys the client in the same way that the client enjoys the provider, you are free to continue having that belief. And who knows? In your case that might be how it is.

Really nice post.  Not sure where the flack would come from (though maybe we'll find out).  Sounds like two worlds you're well acquainted with that offer a nice analogy.  Take five, then carry on!

If I say of myself that it is only from my own case that I know what the word "pain" means - must I not say the same of other people too? And how can I generalize the one case so irresponsibly?

Now someone tells me that he knows what pain is only from his own case! --Suppose everyone had a box with something in it: we call it a "beetle". No one can look into anyone else's box, and everyone says he knows what a beetle is only by looking at his beetle. --Here it would be quite possible for everyone to have something different in his box. One might even imagine such a thing constantly changing. --But suppose the word "beetle" had a use in these people's language? --If so it would not be used as the name of a thing. The thing in the box has no place in the language-game at all; not even as a something: for the box might even be empty. --No, one can 'divide through' by the thing in the box; it cancels out, whatever it is.

That is to say: if we construe the grammar of the expression of sensation on the model of 'object and designation' the object drops out of consideration as irrelevant.

I would like to think that this is at least partially true.  It can't ALL be, let me get this fat blob off off me as quickly as possible mercenary attitude can it?  Well, I guess it can be, but those girls probably don't stay in the biz very long.  I mean, I can understand where it can be a shitty job, but there have to be high points, albeit perhaps in different ways than the customer has his high points, and I don't just mean the payday.

Nice post. Brut.

No i do not get out of a session what my client does. I am here for the money AND I also like to please decent people. Sometimes a high point for me is the fact the guy is super clean, is gentle, is not demanding and is great to chat with. That is a good session in my book. Therefore I can say that is a high point, especially if I wouldn't mind seeing him again.

I was on a 4 day golf trip and just wanted a quick nut. It was relatively inexpensive and I got what I was looking for and I was in and out in less than 1/2 hour, so I was back at the hotel before I was missed. She was certainly cold, with little to no emotion, but I got what I paid for, didn't pay for gfe.
