And to think I've been looking for a bicycle on Craig's List for months!

ut it has to be a mountain bike and the right height for me, so maybe I'm being too picky, LOL. Most people I contacted had been listing their bikes for months.

But HUNDREDS of responses?  I spit out my coffee when I read that!  That's just LE bragging it looks like they're doing their job... And many wanted to get re-elected or receive raises.

And the girl asked text book questions that scream YOU'RE DEALING WITH COPS when the intended clients got here and beforehand... A simple Google search of what not to say when paying for sex could've avoided this whole mess.  I hope these guys get some good lawyers because this can ruin a person's record.  The whole arresting people for paying for sex is so archaic unless there are children involved.  They may have not been careful but I still feel bad for all of these guys.

"Officers received hundreds of text messages and phone calls after placing an online advertisement offering prostitution services."

Lucky if I get 2 calls selling a bicycle on Craig's List.

" Each defendant finalized a price for sexual services as well as a location and time,"

How many times do we remind ourselves not to do this?  This is another good reminder.

Anyone have advice for how to avoid, feel free to share.  This is the second bust in recent history.

BP is full of landmines and Im sure thats where they advertised. Stay off of it.

BP isn't the issue. Not doing your due diligence is the problem.

As one of the gals here said, see only well and oft reviewed girls. For extra safety, make sure the reviewers have written numerous other reviews as well and look for white lists as that helps.

PM a handful of reviewers is yet an extra level of precaution.

It doesn't matter where a girl advertises, it only matters if you can verify her or not. Many top escorts have used, and continue to use, BP.

Yes, its very easy to avoid these situations.... Don't see women that are not reviewed... Be smart and do your research... It takes minutes to figure out...

I suppose that fits in to the whole "good enough for government work" thing. Hundreds of criminals and they catch 6? Not exactly selling my Puritan side (less, should the ever come into existences) on their great job skills.

But I agree, it's largely making the mountain out of a molehill, especially when tying it to trafficing.

That they were going to crack down. I guess these guys did not do there due diligence and get get situational awareness. People have to remember there is a war on the hobby.

I have not been doing this for long, but the others have given you some good advice.  I try to learn from the mistakes of others so I don't make them myself.  I would suggest that you get with a few well-reviewed and trusted ladies and if you need to see someone different ask them to recommend their friends to you.  This way you stay safe and the screening process is easy.  It works both ways.  I have had ladies that I have had long relationships with ask me to see and do reviews for their friends that were new to the business.  They knew my taste in women and so they guided women in my direction that they knew I would like and I guided hobbyist in their direction.
