Preface: I'm an older guy. I do not waste time with newfangled so-called social media such as Facebook and Twitter. I spend my online time productively, such as doing research here at TER.
Local cops used the term "felony stupid". It should be up-dated for the criminals who cannot resist the temptation to post online enough information to lead to a conviction.

I'm not going to search for links (I have too many new reviews to read!), but there are far more stupid things than that. The teens who videoed their escapade in a stolen car, shooting paint balls at people and breaking windows ... and then posted the video. The bank robber lady who posted a video along the lines of 'Hi Mom, I just robbed the bank downtown and bought these new clothes.' There have even been video BRAGGING (i.e., confessions) about violent crimes and, I wouldn't be surprised if that included murder.
In all cases, I'll bet the morons plead "Not Guilty.

Girl steals a dress, takes a selfie, posts it on a social media site. Surprise they caught her, and she still had the dress with her. Saw it on local news tonight.

This social media is a trap for the stupid and a boon to policing.
