I don't care for the younger set, myself, so this hasn't come up in my life... but in your shoes, I would absolutely ask for ID, and if the lady won't show it (for whatever reason), then find someone else.

Even a reputable agency can mess up, and for as much trouble as you might get into for hobbying in the first place, doing so with someone under the legal age is a whole new world of hurt that will follow you around forever. You have no defense ("Well, ABC Agency assured me that she was 19!!"), so be smart and take care of your own safety

If I scheduled an appointment with someone who claims to be 19, should I ask for ID just to be sure she is an adult?

if I were seeing a teenager or someone near teenaged, I would absolutely want to be sure that she was at least 18 and legal.  I am not into anything that involves any people who are not fully consenting adults.

So what would satisfy you? A driver's license? A passport? A full form birth certificate? But seriously, what provider is going to show you real ID? And how many of them have fake ID's to get into clubs and bars?

If you use a reputable agency then you should trust that they would not use an underage provider for their own safety. And I don't ever remember seeing an ad on a reputable site for an 18 year old independent. If you see one from BP then you are taking your chances in more ways than one.

Maybe you can take comfort in the fact that most providers are years older than their stated age. Why wouldn't that apply to supposed teens? For marketing purposes 18-19 sounds better than 21-22 so maybe those teens are really not jail bait.

The bottom line is that there is virtually nothing that you can do to protect yourself if you have the taste for the young stuff.

Of course if someone has a solution for this conundrum I would love to hear it.

LOL. What you're doing isn't exactly legal anyway, pal.
