Not that I am one to tell you what your fees should be, but maybe in a blue collar town your number is certainly going to scare people away.  Also for those hobbyist who are experienced, that is a whole lot of compensation for someone who doesn't have a lot of ink.  Those hobbyist might be more willing to pay someone who is a bit more well chronicled at that level.  Also adjust your fees for the areas that you are visiting.  Although I understand that you have expenses to cover, you don't want to over price the market.  That is a critical decision when determining what a fee is.  Not that there are any guarantees in this business but a consistent chronicling of activity and services about you do influence and determine if hobbyist will see you.

with the gents above.  Charlotte you are 100% my type but 1 review is like TOFTT. Especially since the reviewer has never given anything but 9s and 10's.  At $500 hr a true hobbyist needs to know that the provider is as close to a "sure thing" as possible.  Once you have 5-10 real reviews by hobbyist that we feel we can trust ...  Yes, you are beautiful....$500 is not as hard to justify(Philly current average is AROUND 300HR) But at $750hr for a Greek tour that is double..... Without several positive reviews to confirm that your pics  and services are accurate its hard to justify that rate for many.

At 300 or 350 I am all in...

Your 1 hour rate  of $750 for anal is much too high for this  Philly/Jersey market, especially with one review. Check out the hourly rates of these 3 established local providers who have much more experience with a much higher performance rating and anal is included: Victoria Wilde($600); Summer the One ($400) and DDDAmber ($500). Another provider who is also a young African American and who is fairly new charges $550 an hour with anal included.

...when it comes to TER gents that base their alone time on reviews. I see gents when I'm available, but have a hard time getting the ones that search reviews.  

I must say that I'm not disappointed and know that reviews will come eventually. Thank goodness for gentlemen that like to take a walk on the wild side. One gentleman even told me he was skeptical, but regretted not seeing me sooner as he had no idea what he was missing out on!  

I'm not upset knowing that I have a website and social media presence.

Those who are into you will see you. Point blank. This is only one market. I'd give serious thought to changing any part of my business based on people who have never seen me. I have consulted with good, regular clients about my business and I treasure their opinions, but the vocal participants on TER are really only a small part of this world.

Being new is a gift and a curse. You have the new girl smell and shinyness, but people also get weird. You show face so you've taken down one of those barriers and it's a big one. If you're talking to those most active of discussion boards? Yes it does rely on someone else's opinion. But there are lots of others as well.

And lastly, if you lower your rate to entice this specific audience, you'll have attracted people who will want you to stay at that rate. Which probably wasn't what you were going for anyway.

I'm in the same boat,  lol no record establish that we are safe,  type of woman and provide we are and that we can be trusted to be with their hard earned donations.  

Funny thing is,  most don't like to review anymore so it's a double edged sword. Good luck,  Just have to keep on rolling.

Just like some gals are wary of seeing guys without multiple references, so are some guys wary about seeing gals without reviews. You'll get there soon enough.

Some ladies, even established ones, will offer a slight discount as a review special.  That way you get a review and you don't weaken your basic rate structure.

I'm very cautious but that request makes no sense unless they are fishing for other reviews you may have on eccie etc. bottom line we have yo trust and verify that trust. I would tell them to consider the reviewers records that have reviewed you to see if they are established with many reviews and the date they started using TER etc.    I'll ping u when I'm in next and take the chance

Are time-wasters. Any man giving you unsolicited advice on how to run your business, if he isn't paying you for the time it takes him to deliver his advice, is a time-waster.

People will complain now that you don't have enough reviews, and later, they may complain that you have too many - those aren't your target clients. Other folks will bemoan your rates - there is a voice out there who will complain about what a lady charges no mater what her price point.

There are oodles of wonderful gents out there in the world; there are heaps of great folks here on TER.  

So when you get messages from folks you don't know that are saying ANYTHING beyond an inquiry w/ screening info... you aren't obligated to respond. And you'll save yourself a lot of headache if you simply don't pay them any mind.  

Reserve your best for the people who actually want to see you!

Did anyone else notice how odd this thread is?  TER is the premier "review" board in the country, if not the world, with over 1.3M reviews. Yet the OP is questioning the value of reviews?  This is like going on a vegan website and asking for the best steak house in the town. It is firm and accepted dogma that the happiest hobbyists see only well-reviewed providers. Good reviews are the foundations to a successful career. They removed doubt and highlight the good things that make a successful provider. They should be encouraged and cherished. Questioning the value of reviews doesn't advance a career, but it does attract some passing attention.

It is not gracious to ask a question and get snippy if the answer doesn't suit you. It is worse to throw shade on women who have made the decision to charge more modestly for the rental of their time and bodies. Stereotypes are often wrong and deeming. I see women at many different price points and can tell you a higher price does not necessarily mean a better experience. To assume superiority is a flaw that diminishes your aura and brand.    

While providers have the right to set rates, something that most of the posters agree on, that freedom doesn't blunt Adam Smith's "invisible hand" of market forces, no matter how many people urge you to stick to your pricing.  Two things will happen. You will either have enough business to make you happy, thereby proving you were right. Or, you won't have enough business to make you happy, proving that your pricing is flawed.  Now, here is another truism: no one else will care if you fail or succeed. It's all on you.
