I got a text from a random phone number that MY phone number was on escortcaller.org and it costs a minimum of $197 to remove your phone number from the list.

Has this happened to anyone else?  What did you do?

That'll let them know you mean business.

you could report it to the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center.  If I got such an email, I think I would mark it as "spam".

Better yet, enter a number for FBI and let the morons contact FBI and incriminate themselves!!

Why not report it to the FBI? It's a random text. There is no evidence that you committed a crime. Who knows how many non-hobbyists get the same text.

The Feds already know about this, it's been in the news for a few weeks now.  However, it's been the story of extorting money to unfreeze your computer.  I doubt the Feds would do little, if anything at all, to remove any RL info that leaves a Google footprint from these scumbags.

EU passed a law that allows people to remove information from any website upon a person’s request. Doesn’t apply in the US but there is discussion about it.
