Yes, JonathanEv,
There surely are. But different strokes..some go to 12-step sex addiction groups such as SLAA (Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous); for others, the 12-step model or the behavioral model is much too confining.

My clients come to me because we share a preference for a treatment model that takes the individual's character, personality and childhood into consideration. I don't work according to a 12-step model - my modality is more psychodynamic, holistic, and focuses more on harm reduction. My clients have been pleased and it has worked for them.

Most psychotherapists who are also trained sex therapists work in this vein. You can find them at the link below. Pick your state, city and then go.

Whatever you decide, just please stick with it. I am NOT a believer in long-distance therapy, so please don't get hooked into some kind of treatment program that's strictly over the phone or the Internet. You will need some interpersonal connection with a therapist who can "read" your face, body language, feelings, etc. It's the only way you will truly break your unwanted pattern.

Good luck,

I got started with paying for sex back when I visited Thailand on business years ago. But within the past few years it's gotten to be more and more a  habit. Been caught by wife a couple times, but I'm still at it. What I usually do is establish an ongoing relationship with a single young woman. Sort of like an affair, but with a paycheck.

My issue now is with quitting. I'd really like to quit this routine, but I am having a lot of trouble. Are there any therapists or groups that specialize in helping guys un-hook from hooking?

have helped more people manage addictive or compulsive behavior than any other approach.  Check one out.

pick a therapist that has a specialty in sexual addiction. I live in a good size city, and only a handful of therapists advertise a specialty in sexual addiction.

The 12 step groups are good to provide additional support/accountability.

Best wishes.
