Hotel prices are so pricey is something going on? Cc rooms are 2x as much as the past few times I've worked there!!
hotel prices have jumped up for big parts of May. The first week of May was absurdly high and rooms were scarce. I have no idea why.

Last weekend was Penn's. The week before it may have been Temple. And lots of people come in town for reunions, weddings and mini-vacations. It's good to own a hotel in Philly. BTW a couple of thousand new hotel rooms will be available in 2-3 years as there is a hotel building boom in town. That may help
There is also a regatta going on, so teams from all over the US are in town.
Just wait for the convention in July. I would book early

I usually work the CC and KOP areas and hotel have been really high in both locations. One of the hotels I usually stay at have been charging $400. cost usually is in the low 100's,
