Unless you want until late at night the lines during the Christmas holiday season are long. From the day after New Year's until Memorial Day (except during Spring Break) the lines are the shortest.
I plan on going to TJ next Wednesday by walking across the bridge. I usually get there around 2pm and start to head back around 6pm. What is the pedestrian traffic like to come back ?.. I remember last year it was about an hour or longer due to christmas shoppers. What is the traffic like now ??
If you wait until 6pm it should be around an hour and a little less after 7pm.
