Some TJ agencies offer escorts for long term trips.  If you have a favorite--and the budget--take her with you.

Otherwise check out places with reviews on Cancun.  

BTW, from what I've heard they charge more in Cancun than in TJ.

Finally, when all else fails talk to people like bell boys.  It's worked for me in places where I had no information on the local scene.
