I agree with you it's much more difficult than it needs to be. I have seen many others that are much easier to read.I just tried to send TER support ("Contact Us") an email but I could NOT solve the Captcha thing in around 20 tries. TER uses the toughest Captcha I've ever encountered. And, NO, I cannot download and play the MP3 audio Captcha on the computers I use.
Is the TER Captcha to screen out computers and bots or is to screen out humans, too?
TER: Please dial the Captcha difficulty back a notch
Hit CTRL + numerous times until it's magnified enough .
If it still isn't clear enough put your mouse arrow on the captcha image , right click , right or left click , the image location should come up .copy , paste in your address bar . When the image comes up hit Crtl + until it's magnified enough to decipher the maze .
Keep an eye out for the hidden dotted i .

I click the next one until I get one I can solve.
TER uses re-CAPTCHA and it is actually one of the easiest to understand. I have always had an easy time filling them out.
