I was chatting recently with a fellow swab jockey about sex education in boot camp (for me US Navy, San Diego). I went through way before red light - green light ever existed. Being a rather naive though not totally innocent kid of 19 I pretty much believed most everything they told me.
Shortly before our first boot leave we were given government issue condoms (we got two) the company CPO (in my case a rather salty first class boatswain with three red hash marks on his sleeve) gave us the talk about using one to store your valuables in (like your id, photos of mom, girlfriend, bag of m&ms etc). The other was to blow up like a balloon, tie off and use as a floatation device. He strongly recommended we purchase civilian condoms to do the deed. After all, who wants to trust a condom made by the lowest bidder? And everyone knows why the Navy dress uniform has 14 buttons - gives the lady fourteen chances to say no! I would imagine there are enough old (and maybe not so old) swab jockeys on this board to keep us entertained for some time. What stories of sexual prowess and amorous adventure do you have to share? No sea stories allowed - they must be real and unembelliished - well perhaps some embellishment may be okay. What say ye

Sounds like you had a good CPO. I know of only one guy that met a girl in a bar and it stuck. He was stationed in Japan. As he told the story, walked into a bar in Tokyo, it was love at first sight. Walked out of the bar with her and went straight to the base chaplain. He was a little reluctant but after a few days and lots of persuasion did the deed. That was back in the early 50s. She passed a few years ago, he's never remarried. As he says "She was the classiest lady I'd ever met. Made me feel like the most important person in the world!" Not that she didn't have faults but she did have all the right stuff.
