I was with a regular girl this weekend, and we were chatting and I said, eh ... I don't frequent hookers cause I don't want to pay for sex. Which is true, it's lost it's luster to me, and she says I'd want I guy to pay me for sex. This girl is like an elementary school teacher. I then read the comment in Esquire and said you know what, I think it's true.

I am not even going to argue about whether every woman wants to be paid for sex, because it is absolutely not true. Even if you qualified it, say "every woman under 60 who is sexually active wants to be paid for sex at least once" it would not be true. Hell, it is not even true that every provider wants to be paid for sex. Sex just happens to be the easiest means to an end.
What I am really curious about is how paying for sex came up with the school teacher. Was this a date? Is that something you often bring up on dates? Apparently it still has enough luster to make you want to talk about it. And I am really curious about what thoughts went through her head before replying. Oh to be a fly on that wall.

If dating, usually its the guy who is expected to pick up the tab (without even a promiseof sex) or be considered cheap. Years ago, if someone had told me I'd be doing this I would've had said "no way, it's anti feminist," I supported my ex during grad school and handled all financials. It's the desire of the man, and every woman wants to be desired, and what is more telling of desire in many womens eyes than how much a man is willing to shell out.
