Meet and Greet

I was terrified before my first one. Now, I won't miss one.

Very quickly, I realized that no one in my circle of real life friends was in this crowd.

I wasn't worried about seeing any of my wife's friends.  They are all gay.  :-)

And, even if she had a single, straight friend who was a hobbyist, let's be realistic.  All hobbyists are OK with hobbying.  He'd, most likely, be totally cool.  Hell, if I found out that my sister's husband was a hobbyist, I wouldn't be pissed at him, nor would I tell her.

Seems kinda risky to me.
Everyone is in the same boat, sure, but what if your boss also shows up or someone else you.
My instinct is to skip the M&Gs even though they sound like a lot of fun.

... if you are BOTH hobbyists, you kind of have Mutualyl Assured Destruction on each other.

Now, try this one on for size- showing up at a M&G and running into someone who is your WIFE's friend..

you book a date with her ASAP if for no other reason but to keep her quiet.

Wife's friend... that sounds hot.

I did see my boss and his wife at a swingers party. That was the start of a fruitfull releationship :) I'm with 3B, I wouldn't worry about it.

That is absolutley true boneboybob.  What an easy way to find out if your co-worker or aquaintace is in the hobby.

Meet & Greets are a great way to explore differant providers and see how they are in a social setting.  True personalities really come out, and you can really find great connections.

Happy Hobbying, hope to see you at a Vegas M7G!!

Just don't go to them in your area. Do what I did, and go to one in a different part of the country. I live in California, and got an invitation to one in Tampa. I had a ball. I've been invited to a couple of others, but couldn't quite manage getting the dates to match my travel availability.

You go to the meet and greet, walk in and see a few providers that you know and have seen a few times. You go to the bar to fetch a cocktail. On your way to the bar you see a lady standing at the bar with her back to you, who is in a really skimpy mini skirt with a really smoking figure. One you get to the bar you turn to her in an attempt to make small talk, WOW, it's your wife. She got laid off from her job and did not want to tell you. She has been hobbying for 8 months now....LMAO
