Looks are based on visual physical presentation and the total gestalt of the garments she would be wearing; Performance is how she executes behind closed doors and satisfies you while taking you to the hedonistic throes of passion. Thus those should be the characteristics when judging the aforementioned categories.

You are unequiequivocally only partially correct in a fragmentary measure. It's a common misconception that the human senses and perceptions are independent of one another. They are to a noticeable degree, very much interconnected... and ultimately connected to our emotions.
A month ago I posted about it: "Lets say you take a bite of a crispy cracker and lets say you had headphones on and the sound sent to your ears was an artificially generated sound that's mushy instead of crispy crunch. It's been discovered that you'll claim the cracker didn't taste as good even though it was a cripsy cracker. Taste buds alone do not recreate the whole phenomenon/sensation of taste. It's always a combination of the senses. "
Look at the evidence at hand (TER reviews), it seems to speak for itself, no? One can assume that the reviewer wrote such reviews purely out of spite but can we say with any certainty that ALL of them did it out of spite? Or could it be that the resulting perception of the appearance was affected by the lack of hedonistic throes of passion?

Anyone who is really honest already knows that there are very few real 10's being reviewed here. However, I have seen some 10 appearance scores attached to 7's in performance over the years.
I had a couple of those.. You live and you learn that sometimes you can just "accommodate" things that are unsafe..obviously the only way get back at her is to tarnish the positive track record that we aim to have..
and then everyone else gives her a ten so each subsequent guy who is happy with her feels he has to give her a ten or hurt her feelings. Finally a guy who gets a so so session from her comes along and doesn't feel any obligation to continue the lie.
It's like Panthera said, there are very few real 10s out there, but there sure are a lot who get 10's in their reviews. Personally a TER 10 doesn't mean jack shit to me, which is a real disservice to the handful of real 10's out there whose scores are cheapened by "grade inflation"
I agree. Fight grade inflation. Remember 5 is average. That means half the providers should get scores below 5.
That's assuming equal number of girls who are below 5 get into this business.
In civvy world yes a 5 should be the average. how many % of each from 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 rated girls get in to the hobby? I'm betting it's not an equal number for each score.
Hard to tell in hobby world cuz I don't see girls who aren't at least SMOKING HOT!! 
Is ok in my book. 10's are hard to come by IMHO on looks simply because what is one guy's 10 in looks is another guy's 8 or 9. It's taste, it's subjective. Experiences of the negative sort make people picky too probably out of spite. Myself I try to be honest, as to my own perceptions. I have never seen a 9 or 10 provider yet, they may be out there, but I haven't seen one. I've been with some 8 and 9 providers for service, but not looks. As for once in a lifetime, 10. Guess that only happens once in a lifetime.... I'm young yet.
I think a great performance... if she rocs my world... writing a review while the post coitus hormones are still running high probably bumps not only the performance but the looks numbers too. How could it not? I agree that IDEALLY they should be independent but REALISTICALLY they can never be.
Disappointing looks can start a session out on the wrong foot & spoil the session no matter how hard she tries.
A stunning beauty has an advantage score wise but many pretty girls take advantage and don't put the effort in... or prefer to offer CBJ which will down grade their score.
I think the reviewers are generally fair... reporting on what is an intensely personal experience between 2 unique individuals. Often the details will reveal the reason for reviews both good & bad.
Beyond that I look at the overall picture & expect the occasional outlier review wise. Trends of Up & Down reviews set off warning bells for me. To be charitable, perhaps she is moody or does not connect well with clients who are not 'her type'... or perhaps a mix of shills / more accurate reviews.
I do not drop an interesting gal because of a single low review... and I don't get hung up on 'high" scores. I want consistent scores. 7 (and up) is a respectable score... I expect some variation. Repeated WIDE SWINGS... I'll hold off.
My over simplified answer is this... Pretty on the outside but ugly on the inside during a P4P date can result in a lower appearance score.
An unhappy client can "see" things differently just as a happy client can!

I was just wondering when you look at the content of your reviews as well as the scores for performance and looks would you say that they're pretty consistent? Also I would imagine that you have varying degrees of compatibility with a lot of your friends, but did you have anything that would be attitudinal that would adversely effect your scores? Finally did you take this into account a little more when you were first embarking as a provider on whether a potential hobbyist or yourself would be a good mix? If so, could that be a reason for rejecting a date if you knew he was a known reviewer? Thanks and have a wonderful night Steph.

There's a BIG gap in my reviews for a reason.
How low do the zinged numbers go? An 8, IMO, wouldn't mean the reviewer was doing anything out of spite. Just not his favorite type, she was having a bad day, or she didn't live up to the pics. 7 would be questionable, and lower would probably mean something unusual happened.
Beautiful on he inside almost always make a girl more attractive to me. If I'm enjoying my time (hobby or real) with a lady she becomes more attractive to me. In the same way, I've met ladies that I'm really attracted to at first site but after getting to know them they simply don't do it for me. I've never been able to separate the two.
Also, we seem to be forgetting that we are all attracted to different types/shapes/sizes. Are you a breast, ass, legs, or face man? Do you like black, brown, blonde, or red hair? Short or tall? Thin, athletic, thick, large? Inside of all that are so many more variables...We may both be breast men but I like them small and you like them big. Too many variables and differences in preference to put a lot of stock in the looks number. My 10 may be your 5.

Some guys are just harder graders than others, so if some guy gives a 7/7 to a gal who has otherwise never gotten below an 8, you should click on that reviewer's history. Often you'll find 7 or 8 is the highest he's ever given out.
So, consider the source.
Good looking women get treated better and same goes for men.
