Why does NS need any support? I don't see anyone rushing to your defense either.

California has had a rapidly growing Hispanic population for years.  Almost all of the Hispanics are immigrants from Mexico.  Since these immigrants were not citizens they were unable to register to vote. The Democrats have been pandering to the Mexican Americans hoping they would register as Democrats when they became eligible to vote.  Very few of the original immigrants have become citizens, or even taken steps to become citizens.  However, their American born children are coming of age and are beginning to register to vote.  What is interesting is the young Mexican American Citizens are overwhelming registering as Republicans.  There have been several local newspaper articles on the subject.  One writer gave the most accurate explanation:  Mexicans are hard working people; they are independent; they are very family oriented; they are prolife and they look to family and friends for help, not the government.  These are all qualities that run contrary to the Democratic philosophy.

gee, all those great qualities in the aggregate and Mexico is still in the sorry shape that it's in.  lemme guess, the best and the brightest Mexicans make it to this country, letting the devil take the hindmost south of the Rio Grande.

Don't believe everything that you read.  Anyway, it's been a GOP goal for several decades now to develop a Hispanic voting bloc to offset the African-American voting bloc which favors the Democrats.

I say phooey to every and all manifestations of ethnic voting/identity politics.  I'm waiting for this one, as it inevitably will, to come back and bite you.  I promise not to laugh too much or too hard when it does occur.

Who said anything about Mexico?  Apparently you believe it is the Mexican people who are responsible for all of Mexico’s problems.  It’s certainly not the corrupt Mexican government. Kind of like a genetic thing I guess. They are born stupid and corrupt and their environment has noting to do with their success in life.

A voting block?  How is it a voting block when a certain culture registers overwhelming for a political party because the philosophy of that party is more inline with their culture than another political party?

How can Hispanics registering as Republicans come back and bite me?

Are you sure you are responding to my post?

well, I don't think the Mexican gov't is imported from outside of Mexico, and the Mexican gov't is manned and staffed by Mexicans, so, QED, Mexicans have something to do with the corruption of the Mexican gov't and the sorry state Mexico is in.  Or are you go to be a liberal pinko commie and blane it all on US imperialism?

Environment?  Run that one by me again?  I didn't quie believe that I read it correctly.  Next you'll be extending your newfound liberalism to the environment in America which engenders multiple generations of welfare dependency, illegitimacy and the like?  I can hardly wait for that post!

You said nothing about a voting bloc?  But these nice folk are into all the taditional GOP values, so are they not going to vote Republican? And is that not the definition of a voting bloc? And was that not the major part of the point behind your contribution?  Are you sure you remember the post you've written?

Let me know how you feel when these nice Mexican-Americans start to push in a big way things like, oh, bi-lingual education, multiple-language gov't documents, Perforio Diaz Day, Cinco de Mayo and the like. All of which I might add, are going to be funded by your tax $$$.  Glad to see you are really a big-spending, big-gov't type under all the rhetoric.

I'm going to start to think of you as Pollyanna Night Stalker or Dctor Pangloss Nght Stalker.

I think in your tireless effort to discredit the Dems, many of who deserve all the discredit they can handle, you're gone one too far.  Don't be too surprised if even your conservative berethen desert you on this one.  Notice how they've rushed to second your thoughts here?

Better luck next time.  Maybe you can write another gushing post about the virtues of Sarh Palin.  Hey, did you hear the awrkard
news about Sarah's daughter? Too bad, it's really a persoanl situation, but now she's  going to wind up as the innocent victim of he mom's political ambitions.

Well, win some, lose some.  Keep pluging away.

You are taking it to wild extremes.  You remind me of the guy who sees a black man walking down the street and immediately calls a real estate agent and lists his home for sale.  His reasoning:  Black neighborhoods are crime ridden, more Blacks are prone to crime than whites and it’s only one Black man today but tomorrow it will be an army of Blacks.  I guess in the extreme you could justify his argument.  See what you can do with this one:  Mexicans are generally hard working people.

notice your conservative bretheren piling on to rush to your defense and say "attaboy, Night Stalker"?

You put yourself out on a limb.  Just admit it and go on to your next Sarah Palin post [LOL].

win some, lose some.  No one ever rushes to the defense of any post I make, so why should this one be any different?

perhaps my points are too sublte.  remember, GaGambler, bi-lingual education is going to be funded by those taxes you just love to pay.  Or did you forget that?

Or have you likewise converted to liberalism and big-gov't, big-spending all of a sudden?

I plan on living far south of Mexico by the time that happens. which I guess is my way of saying that it probably will happen. I think it's already a forgone conclusion that we will no longer be a white dominated. english speaking nation for much longer. That doesn't bother me much since I am not white myself and since I plan on retiring in Colombia or some other Spanish speaking country, I will need to get fluent in Spanish anyhow.

You know I only care about myself, so it's not that big a deal to me. The cost of bilingual education is not overwhelming in the grand scheme of things and command of Spanish is already a neccessity if you are in certain industries like most areas of construction.

Besides someone has to cut my grass and wash my car. lol

but all children of candidates running for national office are the victims of their parents polictical ambitions. It doesn't make it right, but it is a fact of life.

As far as the messicans are concerned many will vote Republican until and unless the Dems show them the benefits of socialism. Just like a crack dealer, show them a little wefare money next thing you know they'll be sucking at the teat of government as well, voting to keep their benefactors in office.

Where you been hiding your head? Surely not in California. There already is taxpayer funded bi-lingual education, taxpayer funded government documents, (the state driver's licensing manual is printed in approximately 23 languages), when approved, Cesar Chavez Day will be a state holiday. Take a ride through San Fernando, Pacoima, Van Nuys, Pico-Rivera, Carson, Dominguez, Olvera Street, Moreno Valley, San Gabriel, Ontario, etc., on Cinco de Mayo. You'd think it was a national holiday here in the good, old US of A.
