END OF MESSAGE

I am originally from Georgia and recently moved to NJ...Philadelphia has been on my radar for a while I am wondering what are some of the top attractions you would recommended me seeing :-)

There are plenty of fun things to do here.

I love, love, LOVE the Franklin Institute. It's a hands-on science center directed towards kids, but way fun for adults, too. Every month, they even host something called, "Science After Hours." It's a 21+ event with performances, special exhibits, and... a cash bar! Basically, this combines two of my favorite things: science and booze.

If you're looking for fun work-y shopping, there are a few decent stores. Velvet Lily on 12th and Chestnut (by the Loews) has really pretty lingerie. Passional Boutique at 3rd and South has a lot of fetish clothing (think leather, latex, and [real] corsets), body safe toys, and BDSM equipment. Kink Shoppe at 2nd and Market is way tinier than Passional, but has a decent selection and feels a lot more personal. I've heard Delicious Corsets at E Girard and Day is really awesome, too, but I haven't had a chance to get there yet. Oh! Philly Aids Thrift on South and 5th sometimes has some really cool clothes.

An amazing photographer here is Amanda with Redrum Collaboration (redrumcollaboration.com). She did all of my photography for a very reasonable price and it came out absolutely stunning. She's worked in porn, too, so she has a decent idea of how to work with alternative models.

If you're looking for events, I know a couple kink and fetish ones. The Aviary (theaviaryphilly.com) meets every second Saturday on Spruce Street. It's a play party--no sex!-- and is a nice way to meet new people, learn new skills, and hone skills you already have. If you get to know the right people, you may even get invited to private parties. The Diabolique Ball (diaboliquephilly.com) is going to be this weekend. It's an annual fetish charity ball with a bar, play stations, performances (a friend of mine will be performing bondage with Midori, a world famous kink educator), and all kinds of other fun things... All in the name of charity! Proceeds are being donated to the aforementioned Philly Aids Thrift.

Burlesque is big in the Gayborhood. Every Tuesday night is Burlesque Battle Royale, an American Idol-style burlesque competition. It's halfway through, but that just means you'll see stellar performances for the next few weeks. LiCK (libertycitykings.com) performs a lot, too.

That's all I've got for now, but shoot me a line if you ever want to hang out in the area. We can explore together! :)

Thanks Amelia, I learned many things that I did not know, and I've been here for ... too long. I go by Velvet Lily fairly often and never noticed it, but guys can buy lingerie too!

Dear Ally:
I didn't know if you wanted to necessarily take it there, but perhaps you could have an inducement that would include some non-bcd time for those that would want to spend an afternoon with you to where they show you some historical sites.  That way you would get to see some places and experience some platonic brotherly love. Also, you can start to see how compatible you would be with some of your potential and future clients. After all that is why you became a member because you would encounter a certain grade and quality of gentlemen while being in engaged in tours and other historical and culinary items and the like.
