On Terror.

Well, the FBI's pursuit of the anthrax guy seems to have come to a conclusion, or so the FBI would have us accept, with the suicide of Bruce Ivins, an army microbiologist and apparently something of troubled soul, said suicide presumably being motivated by Ivin's belief that the law enforcement net was closing in on him.

Ah, but Ivins was not the primarly suspect all the while.  The earlier fall guy, Stephen Hatfield, recently collected a $5.4 million settlement from the FBI for their fruitless and apparently totally wrong pursuit of him as the primary suspect for several years running.

No doubt that there is much to be yet told about this story.  And one hopes the FBI didn't decide to hang it on Ivins on the theory that a dead man can't fight back?  That would mean, of course, that the real guy [or gal] is still out there, clturing biological agents, attempting to weaponize them, etc...

and if we had pursued some wild and wily Arab Islamofascists?  Presumably Hatfield would never have scored his big payday, and Ivins, if indeed he is the guilty party, would still be alive and culturing and skulking around sorority houses.

And how is it that the FBI managed for so long to step on it's collective feet and dicks in this case?  I can only suspect that the omnipotent and omniscent MoSSad and Shin Bet were holding out, once again.  Which is preferable indeed to their usual practice of deluging gullible American public figures and private citizens with their patented Niagra of fabrications and prevarications and exaggerations.

Yet, one CANNOT help but notice this one thing -- both Hatfield and Ivins appear to be typical bland  vanilla white guys from Central Casting, not the wild-eyes sociopathic Islamofasists that many expected, and some no doubt fervantly hoped and prayed, would ultimately surface as the perp[s].  Alas, the best laid plans of mice and men and Likudists...

Yaah, and what about all those bloviating right-wing columists and commentators like Michelle Malkin and Daniel Pipes [when he's not otherwise busying trying to get Israel-first students to spy on their profs, McCarthylike?]  and Michael Ledeen and the whole revolting, nauseating lot of miserable Israel-firsters who demanded that ethnic profiling be adopted immediately to deal with the threat of you know what? Because Arabs/Moslems are the logical suspects for the commission of terrorist acts.  Ahem?  Not a peep out of them -- yet. And I'm thankful indeed for small favors.  So far.

Yeah, it must be quite the emotional and political comedown for some -- a few even who populate this fine forum -- to see no Arab terror involved here. I mean, Jesus, Global War On Terror, right?  The recreation of the Caliphate by the Islamofascists, no?  Eurabia, ohmigod!? No Islamofascist immmunologist, no Mohammedean microbiologist to pin jack shit on here.  What a pity!  Well, they'll no doubt be other spurious and ginned-up stuff to be used in an attempt to implicate the Islamofascists.  

There's still that airliner which blew up over Long Island Sound in the summer of 1996.  It was either accidently shot down buy the US military, or much more likely [and no doubt much more fervantly wished] blown up by Guess Who? types still yet to be identified and apprehended.  Hope springs eternal within the Likudist breast.
