I think the fact that this person has no other reviews is in your favor. I am not 100% sure, but I think they check with the reviewer to see if he can show evidence that you met (e.g. an email, etc), but again that is what I gleaned from other discussions, not 1st hand knowledge. Good luck !!

I have had quite the unfortunate experience to have a complete and utter fake review posted about me ! I have contacted admin to look into this and to have it removed !! I am not sure where exactly to dispute this review because I feel as if this site is quite vague when it comes to how to respond to a review or how to forward rebuttals,  especially when you would like to have a discussion with a ghost person who writes phony reviews. I welcome any helpful information, Thank You !

your best approach is to contact TER using the "contact us" link at the bottom of each page. Explain why you believe the review is fake, and provide any evidence you have. TER will contact the reviewer to investigate, and he will have to provide some evidence that he did in fact see you. Be methodical and let the system work.

Sometimes the reviews are pulled, sometimes not. In this case, we have a new reviewer with one review and little credibility that I can see.

If it doesn't get pulled, don't sweat it very much. You have a history of great reviews and one outlier from an unknown reviewer. Most of us are smart enough to discount reviews that lack credibility.

I hope some of the gals that have been through this process before chime in with some helpful advice.

Good luck!

It's best to hit  "Contact Us" instead of "Report A Problem", IMO.

And yes I agree, it does happen to often, usually it's one of 2 things" to get free VIP or some kind of revenge thing.

Bottom line is keep your cool and follow the process.  If there is enough information in your favor, TER will pull the review.  The staff is very good, but keep in mind they are a neutral arbitrator in this.  If it doesn't go in your favor, you have an outstanding reputation that will easily carry you through.

Best case scenario they admins will remove the bad review. Worst case scenario they won't. You have a lot of good reviews and one abnormal review won't sway anyone's opinion the other way.

Has anyone read the review? I did and thought it was well-written, provided details that only would have been learned from personal observation and had a restrained tone of sadness and regret as opposed to venomous anger.  It told a story that we have heard too often:  new provider bursts from the gate with tremendous reviews and then hits a rough patch. Do these things not happen? Of course they do.

I am sure that the administration will deal with this evenhandedly, and since none of us were there, we will have to abide by its decision.

I totally respect your opinion Klewdin and know that you write veryd etailed honest reviews but there are a few red flags in this review which probably should have kept it form being approved to begin with:

1.)   "...we went back and forth several times on the time and location. I think it is because she overbooks and then has to try to coordinate meetings with several clients when she gets backed up. She seems to be a high volume provider who solicits last minute appointments on the TER daily ad boards."

This is all hearsay.  He has no idea how she books herself and how she handles it.  This whole section has a middle school gossipy girl feel to it.  If she was late, fine, say that.  If she tells you why she was late then say that as well.  But DO NOT make up reasons that are based on no other proof as to why she was late.  I think this or that is of no relevance.  What happened on the date is.

2.)  "Kelsey then started DFK but I was turned off because her breath smelled of cigarettes..."

It doesn't say anywhere on her profile from what I could see that she smokes.  If she does then why has it not been noted before?

3.)  " 5 minutes into the BBBJ, her Blackberry goes off...."

Can she prove what kind of phone she has?  Blackberry is going through a transition phase as they try to compete with Apple and Samsung so the only people who really use them are Wall Street professionals.  If this is not the phone she has, she should really point that out to admin.  I so rarely see a Blackberry anymore that this really stuck out to me.

4.)  "She also had several tattoos that must have been Photoshopped from her website pictures."

It says on her profile that she has tattoos.  He's trying to build a case against her and he's using what is a known fact as if it were a lie.  He apparently didn't read her basic profile info.

5.)  "...she appeared to be drunk or high because her speech was a little slurred."

This is a VERY SERIOUS accusation.  This is like a provider accusing a guy of ripping her off or taking off the cover.  He better be prepared to answer to all of those who have written her great reviews and know her to defend this.  Even if you suspect this you shouldn't write this in a review unless you can stand by it, iron-clad.  Someone may be more quiet or loud than you are used to, or you may e makin them nervous, and many times people interpret that as using drugs.  There is a lot of ignorance on this in the hobby, especially on the hobbyist's side.  It is so easy to say "she was on something" if you just didn't like her demeanor.

6.)  He repeatedly tells people to not see her, i.e. "I would not recommend her."

Instead of just writing a bad review and letting the reader decide for himself if he wants to see her he intervenes by recommending that he does not.  You all are big boys here and can make up your own minds, especially after reading reviews.  This screams BULLSHIT to me.  He's clearly trying to interfere with her business.  If he had a bad experience and put it out there then why does he care what happens next?  They may be people who like exactly what she provides.  That's not for him to decide.  I know that writing reviews is a public service for your fellow hobbyists but it ends there -- a PUBLIC SERVICE, an act done for serving the community.  After you've written the review your job is done.

7.)  He only has 1 review and ZERO posting history yet he says "I had been on break from the hobby for 5 years and decided to get back in the game with the goal of seeing the top 10 ranked providers in my city."

He's NEVER posted and it's been years since he's seen someone yet he seems to understand how the board works, citing the top 10.  So clearly he knows his way around the hobby.  He claims to be from Philadelphia but nothing about his writing or the way he went about the appointment rings a bell.  It was just too perfectly written against Kelsey that I can't believe he stayed.  He even says that she asked him not to write a review.... That sounds so out of place coming from a hobbyist for some reason... And he's not here defending himself.

My instinct is telling me that it's either a jealous provider or agency that is trying to affect her business negatively or a possessive client who wants her to himself.  It's just too perfectly negative.  Just like those too perfectly positive reviews that you can tell a provider wrote about herself.... Oh, c'mon, we've all read them.  A provider gets a fake profile ot gets a new guy to write a review and she writes it for him.  You can always tell...  This review is also fishy and something is not right.

That's my feeling.  I have cited the flaws in the review but have no other proof other than my gut instinct.  Also, I don;t know this provider and have never met her (at least to my knowledge) and with the exception of one other poorly written review her reviews are consistent and good.  Not sure....

If they can't track the guy down and get a time/place that they met it should be gone.  I have a few fake reviews, get one every year or so, but usually they are mediocre and it's hard to get them removed.  This one seems to be written with an agenda in mind.  Sorry you're dealing with this Kelsey!

Better hobbying for all,

Alex

While it's been too long since I've seen her, she is one of the hottest and most professional providers I have seen in my hobbying career. Could she have had an off day? Sure. Could HE have had an off day? Yes, that happens to guys too. In the end, I think her 99% stellar reviews should be able to overcome what seems like a questionable review.
